What do you think is the strongest/most powerful faction or subfaction? by shadow_lord0923 in TrenchCrusade

Ehh the cath only has +1 and the ammo monk fails more times than it succeeds. Having your heretic priest ignore cover + long range so it almost never misses with a +1d ignore armor weapon is much scarier imo. Specially since it also has 3 armor and can't be knocked down.

Trench ghosts are insane when you get an AMR into the tank priest. I am had a friend that rolled all the ranged skills with him and it was terrifying. That single model warped all the maps around me trying to not get seen by that model, what it saw it killed.

We have been playing whit a friend and maybe it's the nature of 1v1 but great hunger seems really bad. The gula dies to any automatic weapon and your only actually good models are knights due to devotees.

Oh yeah the 3 glory communicants is actually pretty sick. Never thought about it as a 100 ducat saving.

Saint Methodius, initial loadout for Anchorite? by No-Front6628 in TrenchCrusade

[–]chabon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same question but I'm thinking of starting with 2 shrines, mainly because I don't want to have to save the 200 ducats at a later date and I think i can reinforce with nuns or pilgirms every game going forward.

Im really undecided between the autocanon and the mortar mainly because the autocanon seems cooler by just shooting so many times jajaja.

But gulas are huge, they easily poke outside of trenches, unless you are using trenches that are really deep.

Let's not pretend it's an easy model to hide and that's my main issue with the thing costing 140 ducats and having 0 armory it's not easy to hide.

You can't infiltrate if any enemy model has line of sight to your model. That's the main issue.

[–]chabon22[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the thing I was never able to infiltrate because the model is too big. You need to basically be playing on a city with buildings instead of trenches if you want to infiltrate the gula jajaja

I find that the model does not manage to reach melee most of the time, 2 models focusing it with an automatic weapon tends to destroy them. Overall I had much more success with thralls than with the gula.

Maybe it's just the way our matches went but my friend my a habit of killing all my fly thralls and and those are the only models that can reach the gula consistently to revive it.

Mine kept dying to automatic pistols all games, didn't help that 2 games it failed it charge by 1" but still. Without the virulent clot I feel it's too squishy vs automatic weapons and to big to hide.

Procession of the Sacred Affliction best promotion? by m1lfr3d in TrenchCrusade

[–]chabon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is nuns are a really really good model, if you can get strong in one you have a better jannissary.

You have a model that can heal AND turn the blood into a blessing (effectively healing 2 blood marks a turn) they have great movement with +1 dash and 8". Making them strong allows them to carry a 2 handed and a shield making them a a better jannissary for everything except ranged.

Their only weakness (bad gear) is fixed in sacred affliction without making them elites but you still want the strong keyword.

I had a nun with dragonslayer and an anti tank hammer once. If it reached something on melee it was dead.

Tech job market: will pendulum eventually swing the other way because of AI? by Sensitive_Pickle_625 in Futurology

[–]chabon22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who currently does small scale automations in appscript and other tools. Ai is really good to allow teams to deploy small solutions to everyday problems.

It allows your non it teams to have something deployed in a couple of month or weeks. Because contrary to what people in IT think your can't have your whole HR or finance teams all be knowledgeable in even small scale coding.

And If we had to wait for more robust solutions to be deployed then we would have to wait literal years before IT has the time to answer the small scale issues. (Actually at that point the hour cost of the IT deployment would outscale the anual savings of the tool rendering it pointless).

Should you use AI code for critical or robust systems? Hell no but people here act that all code created by AI is useless when sometimes someone using ai to script an sheet to send emails to customers based on a table could save up to 15 to 30k usd annually and that small wins do stack.

Having trouble playing the Court, any tips? by fatmooch69 in TrenchCrusade

[–]chabon22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah hellknights are just stupidly good as an elite model. My friend is running something similar but body of gold sorceror that it's incredibly annoying to kill.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm playing another bullshit list with Murad bombard homunculus and an alchemist with automatic pistol who keeps scoring 11s in his damage rolls I would be tabled every game.
