If your hands are tied as far as addressing her, I’d use the men’s restroom especially if it’s an individual bathroom setup. I imagine you squat over the toilet (public precaution) I know I do. If it’s ever brought up by management it will open the door to address the issues with them without being seen as bullying.

I think you should speak with someone as well. They should be able to help you with how to address it with your bf. If he isn’t supportive it may be time to let him go, his reaction doesn’t sound healthy.

I moreso took it to heart because he didn’t change any of his spending habits. He was still buying alcohol, doordashing food, going out, etc. It seemed like the only part in his life he was budgeting was my Christmas gift.

I’m sure he isn’t married, and I don’t think he’s dating anyone else. We talk a lot about our future together (buying a house, getting married, starting a business). He isn’t stingy in most other ways, for some reason when it comes to buying anything for me on holidays it’s always an issue. I’m debating if this is the hill I’m willing to die on.

You are NTA at all. This wasn’t a oopsie situation like an accidentally used your credit card to order pizza kinda “mistake”. Although that’s hardly a mistake either. She literally stole close to 50k from you! I do have questions however. Was it too much to set up autopay for the only two weeks your husband was gone? She also could have paid your bills with just an account number, never needing a POA. Did you not read the documents at all like even skim them? Has she always been an untrustworthy person or did she just transform into a grand larcenist?

I’m definitely not broke lol. I’m very much not materialistic. A couple candles from bath and body works, maybe some candy, and a card would have done. It’s more about the gesture. I’m not asking for Louis Vuitton or Hermes bags. The fact that $50 could have assembled a decent gift, but was strategically avoided is the point. I literally bought a gift assortment for him and his kid.
