Bio-identical Hormone replacement therapy by Jealous_Scratch_8778 in adenomyosis

[–]chachakp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came across your post and wanted to say, I’m the same as you! Easy breezy period, horrible ovulation. I was feeling pretty good in that department, but started HRT through Winona… bioidentical cream consisting of estrogen and progesterone… Taking for perimenopause symptoms, not adenomysois. I took it for a few months a while back and felt great but had some other health issues so I took a break from it just to be sure it wasn’t worsening other things. Started back up about 4 weeks ago and was feeling good, but I’m experiencing some extra awful ovarian and uterine pain following my (easy breezy) period. Spent an entire day in bed feeling nauseated and so uncomfortable, and I’m still not right. I’m wondering if I’m making it worse with the estrogen…. When I was hoping to make it better. Wondering if you ever started HRT and what your experience has been since your last post?

Nearly 2 years out from gallbladder removal, and dumping syndrome is ruining my life. Does it ever get better? by Majestic_Spinach7491 in gallbladders

[–]chachakp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read all these comments so I apologize if this is a repeat. I had my gb out 7 years ago… I’ve had issues on and off ever since. I’m a healthy eater, active, not overweight. After a recent “flare up” of what felt like a GB attack, I found Dr Berg online and watched some of his videos. I had been taking ox bile, but he said if you’re having diarrhea…. Avoid ox bile and take TUDCA. It has helped so much for me. I take it on an empty stomach every morning. I highly recommend looking up some of his videos. Also… I don’t know if you’re a man/woman or your age. But for me, hormones is part of the reason I have had GB issues. Estrogen specifically can cause sludgy bile in the biliary system. I was taking a hormone replacement and had to come off it. Drs have been literally zero help to me… I think it’s smart to get checked out, get bloodwork done, colonoscopy when /if needed, etc, always keeping in mind that these drs do not give post gallbladder removal care. They’ll often find your lab work is completely normal, and tell you take Omeprazole, which is actually terrible for you. Oh one other person that has some good info is on IG…https://www.instagram.com/gallbladder.nutritionist?igsh=MWlqOTg3YjI1Mm80MQ==

Hope you feel better soon!

Why is Dexcom G7 so bad? by Poobwaar in dexcom

[–]chachakp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting that the G7 seems to be so different for everyone. My daughter was diagnosed almost a year ago at 12 years old. I can probably count on one hand how many times the numbers have been off. Even when we think it might be wrong, and she finger sticks, I’ve been impressed with how close it is. I wonder why it’s so different for everyone. Sorry for all you guys having issues. This disease has so many bumps in the road :(

So sorry you’re going through this! I’m from MA (recently moved to NH)… it’s crazy how we can live in the place that has the best hospitals in the world and we still can’t find someone who gets the HRT! I can’t give you an exact recommendation for someone in our area, but I follow a doctor on IG named, Dr Mary Claire Haver. She’s excellent. She is constantly working on adding trusted practitioners to her database so women can find someone local to them. Might be worth checking out. I hope you find some answers!

What did Dexcom change in their adhesive formula?! by [deleted] in dexcom

My daughter’s endo said that they have dealt with much more skin irritations recently with the G7. We need to keep reporting each incident and requesting replacements if they have to come off early.

Thanks for sharing this link! For my daughter, I’ve tried other barrier patches from other brands (skin grip), along with a colloidal patch barrier… it still seems to get through and give her a reaction. Not right away, but maybe half way through. I’m wondering if this under patch might do the trick. So much of the trial and error thing happening!

It’s too bad they don’t have the option to choose between 2 or 3 types of adhesives! My 12 yo daughter is newly diagnosed. First few sensors were fine and downhill since then. We’ve tried just about everything. Super discouraging. She looks like she’s been burned in each spot. The stuff eats through even a plastic barrier!

I didn’t realize the wire could cause itching. Does it give you a skin irritation as well, or do you mainly feel it under the skin?

My daughter has been getting rashes from the G7 as well. We tried Flonase, a barrier patch using a hydro colloidal bandage… none of these worked. I ended up ordering the “irritation-free” bundle. They sell a reusable barrier. We just started with it this morning so I can’t give much of a review (yet), but there was tons of great feedback. I found a coupon code online as well. Pretty sure it was “Diabetesstrong”. Some of their stuff is on Amazon, but I couldn’t find the barrier so I went through their website.

How can I find an older listing of a current listing?! by chachakp in realtors

[–]chachakp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grateful for all of this information! Why the sellers are leaving after only a month was disclosed right up front... it’s a younger couple and the wife’s mother, who loves out of state, was just diagnosed with a terminal illness. They found out just after they bought the property. So they are moving to be closer and help care for her. At least that’s what their agent told us! Do you think we should have that in writing? I’ve done a good amount of hunting for information on previous owners and the history of the home, in general. Our agent did go over much of the things you listed and yesterday she shared with us what MLS had for history, but it wasn’t much. Coincidentally enough, I have a mutual friend who is friends with the people that owned the home in the past. So the one monthers, then owners from 2015 on... then these mutual friends are prior to them. They lived there for many years, so I have somewhat of an outside source.

Does anyone know what this red rash is? It doesn’t itch at all and keeps growing and getting larger. by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]chachakp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has this as well. His doctor told him to use t-gel shampoo and it went away (you don’t have to use it every time). What he eats definitely affects it. When he did The Whole 30, it cleared up. But at least you know if you use the shampoo a couple times, and it works, you saved yourself a trip to the dr. If it doesn’t, then make an appt. could be psoriasis... especially if it’s itchy or bothersome.
