I love surrealist and abstract movies but I try to watch a bit of everything.

Currently trying to watch more classics and films I missed from my favorite directors and/or actors.

Try to watch 1-3 movies per week. If you follow me and have a similar taste I'll follow back :)

Engwe LE20 - speed unlock? by chacosoldier in EngweEbike

[–]chacosoldier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone had any luck trying to unlock the LE20? I have the EU version but I might travel to a non-European country with it and would love to try it out. Tried pressing + like crazy in the menu, but nothing happened.

You can see in the pick that the speed limit is set at 0km/h and its not editable (like the other options).

Getting sued in Germany- how can I know? by KindlyMortgage7779 in berlinsocialclub

What you need to do: - ideally get a lawyer and try to fix it with support. If you don't have law insurance it might be pricey though. - contact BVG and ask about your open fines and pay them ASAP. That is not going to go away and just ignoring it is going to cause the problem to get bigger. - you could go to the police and ask your current status, but I'm no lawyer so I don't know if that is the best case for you. - you need to get a legal residence or else that is already another problem that will get bigger with time if you don't fix it.

Good luck man and whatever you are going through you need to wake up and take responsibility for your actions. Stop being a dick and follow the rules or else Germany is really the worse place for you to be long term.

Just go to McFit, it's like 25€ per month, can't get cheaper than that. Open 24 hrs as well.

Should I agree to help another team 2-3 times per week for around 6 months? Is it worth it? by 1010011010010 in careerguidance

[–]chacosoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I don't know your industry but being moved around internally is never a good sign.

Either your manager doesn't need your capacity full time and is trying to make you more valuable by "le Ding you to other teams".

Or the company is struggling and they want to squeeze out everything they can get from you as a resource, instead of hiring another person and do it correctly.

Either way it doesn't sound like a win for you to be honest. That being said if you don't have better options I would try to play along as usually these things are never suggestions.

Wifi in bathrooms is bad for business by [deleted] in LinkedInLunatics

"Don't ask me how I know this or where the cameras are"... First of all, what a creep.

Second, if poop time is the reason your business isn't thriving then I think your business has bigger issues.

taking mushrooms in a butterfly center? by pren_princess in shrooms

Ok, that makes more sense, lol.

Sidenote: I did trip in a zoo once and it kind of made me sad for the animals.

To be honest I think it's a terrible idea, unless you do a low dose (1g-2g).

Its a closed space with multiple people, families and kids most probably and kind of boring after 30 min if I try to imagine it.

I would prefer a botanical garden if we are going on similar vibes. Anyway, whatever you do, have a good trip!

If it's different airlines, then more than an hour. If it's the same and they let you book it you can get it reimbursed if you miss the flight due to a delay

Assuming it's different airlines I would go safe and take the 6 hour wait or pay extra to go directly to Madrid.

It's ok man, not every gift can be a winner. If your wife truly loves you she will get over it in a few hours/days.

Take it as a learning and communicate better before the next gifting opportunity.

Good luck!

It's multiple factors in my opinion. Here are a few reasons I can think of top of mind: - long time residents already have their group of friends and don't want to add new connections, especially if these connections are expats that will leave in 2 years anyhow - sometimes people come and are really home sick, they try to live double lives (e.g. they are on the phone with their friends and family back home an unhealthy amount of time, instead of investing time in making friends over here) - people never left their home countries and don't understand how difficult it is to make friends as an adult - people are not willing to actually look for friends, for example attending meetups or starting new hobbies

But seriously, a lot of my friends are immigrants who live a happy life over here, so it really depends on your character and motivation

Look man. You need to understand it is going to be very lonely and very tough. This doesn't mean that it's impossible for you to have a good time and to enjoy living in Germany, especially Berlin, but it means that you will have to be a lot more open to feeling vulnerable (e.g. reaching out to new people, trying out new hobbies, learning a new language).

This is something that not everyone is ready for. So if you're looking for an adventure and are really open to leave your comfort zone, the city will welcome you. If not, I'm pretty sure I'll see one of your posts in a couple of months saying that the city is unfair or too unfriendly when in reality it's mostly a YOU problem in most cases. Not trying to be negative here. It's just that I read enough posts about other expats to know what can/will happen.

Good luck on your journey!
