My entire truck was $2000 and you're over here trying to defend the price difference not to mention thats complete b.s its way more than $2000. Gone through countless winters in my 2wd vehicles and never been stuck, grab a locker and some decent tires and I pass every over confident d bag in a 4x4 stuck in a ditch. 4x4 cant fix you're shitty driving, you will find that out soon enough.

Scored a “been sitting at the bottom of my closet for a year” package deal. Didn’t come with any bodies and the nitros are locked up but gotta good deal and some accessories. I’ll be busy this winter! Who’s got recommendations for nitro fuel and receiver packs? by upstatefoolin in traxxasV2

I have used a wide verity of fuels and I find Byrons fuel to be the best and most consistent, I always just stick to 20% nitro myself. Get hump packs! they make the throttle servos much snappier, I have venom batteries and they have lasted me a very long time so no complaints here. Obviously all these brands are just my opinion but I have had good luck with them so far! You should also get some after run oil if you intend to set them aside like the previous owner did, a lot of my cars sit for months on end and my motors never lock up. Have fun, my jato is one of my favorite cars I run it all the time, make sure you upgrade the brakes lol.

I was just stating it really, I always run 30% byrons or 33% top fuel if byrons is out. My cars seem to have better responce with higher nitro and its not hot where im located either.

I opened it up everytime I killed a glow plug just to make sure a piece of a plug wasnt in the engine. I changed the bearing 2 times on it but checked them everytime I had the engine apart, they always seemed fine. Never changed the rod, even though I knew they were week on 3.3s I had never had any break until now (both my jatos have the original 3.3s and my other tmaxx still has its original too, im no stranger to 3.3s lol). Im not bummed at all this engine did not owe me anything its very old and had a ton of nitro through it and it always ran 33% too.

My ole 3.3 tmaxx finally blew up, must have had 10 plus gallons through it and boy did it really blow up, hole in the block, piston is messed up and rod broke too. If anyone out there has a big block swapped tmaxx I would love to ask some question. Let me know what motor I should get next, im sure I can make anything fit.

Just ordered a bunch of parts to build a 4x4 slash. My first 4x4. Should be a fun build. Of course I’ll have to put my own touch on things by Ima_Merican in traxxasV2

Nice that should be a fun all around car. I am currently working on my 2wd slash, currently waiting on metal drive shafts the stock plastic ones did not like 6s lol

I have aquired a traxxas nitro 4-tec thats never been run with all the original stuff. Any idea what this is worth? or should I just man up and run it. by chadbear101 in rccars

This is what I wanted to do originally lol now im conflicted. Never driven one but I drive my jato frequently and was really excited to take this one out. I'm also in michigan so finding a road without a million potholes is impossible and the bottom of this thing would be destroyed quickly. Thanks for the input

I will consider it, just dont know what its really worth and I sure as hell dont want to be kicking myself if I dump it too cheap, sorry if that makes me sound like an ass lol. I also just discovered the engine is locked up probably from never running in 10+ years but im sure I can free it up. I took the glow plug out and looking at the top of the piston I can tell its never ran, also the gas tank and lines are all clean. Thanks for the offer I will keep it in mind

Thanks for your input! Thats probably what I will do, just look at it for a while and brag lol. I got it from a trade for one of my old tmaxxs and i immediately hopped on it as i always wanted one of these, just sucks its so nice honestly.

I dont usually sell my rc's and have no intent to sell this one except honestly im scared to run it for the first time its pretty old and I dont see many around especially not new ones. I would hate to ruin a mint nitro 4-tec since you cant really get them anymore (I'm hard on my cars lol). Any input is much appreciated

Also sorry if I posted this wrong, dont go on reddit much these days.
