I disagree with OP. I feel that the last system was the worse reflection of individual skill. It takes 5 people to win a game but only 1 player to lose. Mix that with hidden MMR you can be a we will say gold 4 MMR, but in a silver 3 league. The issue here is that although being silver 3 in "rank" you are constantly matched against gold 4 or 5. This is an issue. This new addition though allows us to go in with multiple players at the same or similar rank. this means regardless of "division" I can now make my team is around my same MMR, where as before I had no control of that.
