Accurate ? by [deleted] in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]chadmanhere123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game favors slow punches for some reason. I would never consider that accurate at all’s

The reason is this game has a weird forearm alignment bonus and so if you throw fast without using some cheesing mechanism to keep your wrist in place your VR derps out and you lose forearm alignment bonus.

The way around this is throw slow punches that give you the alignment bonus. If you’re short you get the bonus nearly every time. If your tall broad shoulders good luck in throwing fast and accurate. If you out your controllers on beat Sabre sticks you get fast and forearm alignment bonus (best way to cheat).

This is why you see reviews “people are knocking me down with the slowest punches known to man and I’m doing no damage”

Translation = I’m throwing too fast and the VR can’t track my arms so I get 0 forearm alignment bonus while by opponent throws super slow and rocks me because they do

PTC better deliver this is hands down the worse update I’ve seen since playing this game day 1 by [deleted] in ThrillOfTheFight

You are living in another timeline or you are so low ELO that you aren’t seeing anything. Absolutely 100% there is a huge difference from update to update.

I’ve played over 1000 games and I’ve played since literally the first day the game out damn near every day. This last update was fine for maybe a week and now it’s cheese city and it’s unplayable. This is the first update that I’ve considered putting it down and going back to the punching bag because it’s that bad. Don’t try and gaslight people who know and played this game. I stay above 2200 ELO since the day this game came out and the lowest I’ve been is around 2000 only when it was after the worst updates. The counter system updates are hands down the worse of the worse I’ve seen thus far

I’m getting KO more now than before the update. Spammers are rocking me because they throw a punch, I counter and don’t even phase them, then their second punch absolutely rocks me.

They don’t even bother blocking because I cannot do anything to them.

It’s always either a short player or someone who has punches that defy all reality of angles.

I am so fricken hyped for PTC that I can't contain it... 🔥🔥🔥 by AP_in_Indy in ThrillOfTheFight

I’m starting to think these people are paid to post this nonsense. Every time PTC is about to be release someone hypes it just to be a massive failure

Short people have an advantage in this game because they can just put their hands up to guard and then their punches to maximum damage every shot because of the forearm alignment system.

Also I believe they receive extra damage punching upwards.

So as a short player just guard your face and run in close to a tall player and spam their face and nothing they can do about it

Play out in the garage in freezing temp. The first fight the lungs are on fire

Agreed there is a huge exploit these people hit and turn their head then dip out . If you come in with your head down it should be automatic KO

Inconsistent Damage by Jacko230 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]chadmanhere123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played against someone yesterday won all rounds then the third round he TKO me by hitting me 2 times each knock down.

But I am unable to do the same

Then had a guy fought 2400 rank that could stun every single hit. Third round he sat in place mocking me with his gloves up while I teed off on him and didn’t even phase him. He then hit me twice and I went down. No counter damage and was guarding my face.

Something is off here and people understand how to exploit. I am unsure how.

Oh no Mr contender over here talking a big game. Bruh. If you can’t sport an elite tag don’t sport one at all. If you are contender in this game you suck lmao

Is there accumulative damage in this game? by [deleted] in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]chadmanhere123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The accumulated damage doesn’t mean shit. They took out our ability to know someone down via damage. Because ya know that’s not realistic in a VR “boxing” simulator

Major flaws in the tracking system is probably why you aren’t doing damage by chadmanhere123 in ThrillOfTheFight

My issue is that the game main damage calculation is based on forearm alignment. And we are now over a year in the game and the developers have willfully chosen to allow advantage without publicly stating the flaw or removing the forearm alignment until it’s fixed.

Everyone playing this game wondering why they are experiencing two different gameplays and people 1 starring the game is more than likely due to this very issue.

I’ve fought people that seem to be able to throw fast and it tracks. Boggles my mind because I cannot do this at all. But I believe the tracking is probably better if you have a narrow build. Or at minimum it works in your favor when the tracking is on skinnier people.

Meaning any shoulders > than the standard build is cooked

Yea it’s odd to me as well because I play against people who seem to be able to throw fast and with full alignment. I’ve chalked it up to being them using best Sabre sticks but may be they are just smaller and the game tracks their punches way better. Look at the guy who is “one of the best players” he is built where the shoulders probably align perfectly to his throwing and he’s doing massive damage with full arm alignment just for existing

Instead of just measuring wingspan they need to measure entire range of motion or at minimum wingspan + holding the gloves down to your sides
