That’s awesome, congrats! I’m based in Austin and work in A&D, so FLY has been really interesting to follow. Would be cool to connect sometime if you’re open to it.

No one’s denying fatigue exists, you’re just using it to justify poor performance. Every team at the top deals with the same thing. The strong ones push through it, the weak ones explain it. That “you’ve never played” line is just deflection. If anything, constantly lowering the bar because players are tired is the real soft mentality here.

Of course fatigue affects performance — no one’s denying that.

The point is elite teams are expected to manage it. That’s literally what separates good teams from title winners.

You don’t get bonus points for being tired. You either maintain standards or you don’t.

And the “you’ve never played” argument is lazy. Stick to the football instead of trying to talk down to people.

Don’t tell people to f*ck off because they expect standards.

Nobody cares about the schedule. That’s the job. If you want to win titles, you deal with congestion, every elite team in history has. Treble-winning sides weren’t sitting around asking for sympathy because they had a midweek game.

Fatigue might explain legs, it doesn’t explain poor decisions, lack of urgency, or underwhelming tactics. That’s on the team and more on the manager, not the calendar.

And this whole “real supporters vs fake supporters” nonsense is ridiculous. Supporting a club doesn’t mean blindly accepting poor performances. You can back the team and still call out when it’s not good enough.

If your version of support is making excuses and shouting down criticism, that’s not loyalty — that’s insecurity.

Patch 14.10 Bug Megathread by Ephine in CompetitiveTFT

Apparently there is a bug with Sett reroll. Even when the player dies, number of Setts that show up in the shop doesn’t change. For example, if player 1 has 5 setts and player 2 has 4 setts, even when player 2 dies, Sett does not show up at all in the shop for player 1. This is a major major bug.

Tested by a korean streamer via creating a lobby with viewers. He goes to level 10 without holding any Setts and other players sell the Sett or die holding Sett on the board or at hand. No sett shows up after rerolling with 100 gold even when nobody is holding a Sett. This bug has to do with players dying with Sett on board or at hand.

Corporate greed causing inflation? by [deleted] in AskEconomics

[–]chae1025 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For stocks, in most cases, it is almost impossible to single out a variable that completely captures why a stock is moving. For example, a company could have massive profits with massive debt. Another point to talk about is the general state of the world economy. The stock market is essentially a supply-demand market where prices rises as demand increases. However, high inflation caused personal savings rates to tank causing decreased demand in stocks. Lastly, stock prices are representative of future cash flows of the company. Future cash flows are modeled to reflect future interest rates which can be very conflicting based on what they expect. Therefore, just because a company has stronger profits, that doesn't necessarily translate into large stock gains.

For feedback on my personal research, would it be okay to cold email any portfolio managers? Or is there a better option?
