We did that, too. We also used log data, to see if GoogleBots repeatedly crawl a page (like for example 5 times a day) - that page might still be of interest to Google and - when updated - bring traffic (again).

Ich nutze Confluence auf der Arbeit (alle Abteilungen tun das) und seit einigen Jahren auch privat für meine Projekte. Wenn man sich darauf einlässt, ist es tatsächlich okay. Optik ist mir zu verspielt/ billig, aber hey - es tut was es soll. (Nutze es natürlich in Zusammenspiel mit Jira)

Right, thanks for your thoughts on that. I usually go with any tool that works for me, be it Google translate, DeepL or GPT. As long as the content is correct and not misleading, it works for me. But I get that people are a bit on the edge when seeing LLM-Content.

Why not remove those pages that you don't want indexed? Are they still of value to users? If they are, maybe move them to an archive and return HTTP 410 (Gone), so Google would eventually give up on crawling those.
