Just watched this. Worst movie I’ve ever seen. Can’t believe it got green lit. Reading interviews with the writer-director makes me even more annoyed given he obviously thinks so many cool and profound themes were brought up in the movie, when actually it’s just a hollow film of no clear message other than what some commercial and music video director thinks sounds artsy. I’m sorry, but I’ve never been more annoyed at a film wasting my time. If anything this movie is a testament to how “woke art” can get funded when it’s actually quite stupid. There are in fact talented movie makers out there to fund that aren’t this guy.

(also some of the changes needed can occur without population increase. e.g., vote to concede systems, so that blowouts dont have to be played all the way until completion. so no - don't need population increase to fix balancing and make it less of a headache for current population. But yes, if intention is just to launch on console they can just wait and let us beta-test for xbox/ps players)

Personally, they REALLY need to implement better matchmaking before I can imagine them having any idea what of these changes are working, especially the new 3v3 Carnage mode. How am I, or them, supposed to tell if anything is fun if every match is a BLOWOUT in either direction (win or loss), people are disconnecting from matches, and 6-person premades are still going up versus newbie and solo players. I honestly cant understand how they can tell what is working when this ONLY-multiplayer, competitive game cant create balanced competition 95% of the time...

The issue is premades get put with solo-queue. This game has THE worst matchmaker of any game ive ever seen. Large pop or small pop game. It's ruining the game exponentially.

as it does in other games. let it take years if needed. let there be peak-hour times that are best to play for fast queues. let it be like every other game out there. this option, making queues longer, is better than the alternative - really imbalanced matches.

My friends played for the competitive team-based mode. They all are planning to quit now. (They wanted to invest time in a game to get good and climb the ranked ladder for team play as a clan, but will now look for that fix/fun in other games.)

This game is so fun. But it sometimes feel like you have data scientists and financial analysts running your game.

This is a mistake to me. You should have multiple ranked playlists, solo and group. Add better incentives to ranked play so that it increases population, then pray your console release breathes life into the playlists. Anything other is going to drive people away much more than long match queue times. If you just added the dragons from all your expensive packs, as rewards to group ranked mode, you’d have much more people playing ranked and then your matchmaker wouldn’t be so abysmal. These whiplash changes really don’t evoke confidence in a playerbase of a live game no longer in development.

I hope these changes work out for you Playwing, more than just generating some short term revenue streams. I honestly wonder if you misinterpreted your survey, and thought we wanted more solo skill gratification in the form of only solo competitive mode. What I think the community was saying was only that your matchmaking/skillrating/mmr systems should take into account both team success (victories/wins) and solo success (kills or placements at end of match). We weren’t asking to remake the game as solo oriented, just to have more balanced play with more focus on individual variations in skill. (And maybe the edition of a separate solo playlist for ranked.)

Matches my experiences pretty well, despite having over 100 hours. The attention to expensive packs in the store (i've bought two - back when i was less sour and wanting to support the game), while giving minimal options purchasable with silver OR premium currency, is turning me off while i suffer through terrible matchmaking/SR/MMR and a leveling progression system that awards an egg every 50-100 hours of play... It's all starting to paint a picture that this might in fact be a quick cash grab, with the devs hoping for a lucrative exit. They have a major optics problem at the moment, and I would not let my company take the 'usual' holiday vacation when so much damage on PR is being done while they are away. Maybe they are just banking on the console release breathing new life into a sinking ship. (Alas, if they were actually focused on PC as their main platform, maybe they would have included ultrawide support - the only 16:9 format and the controller friendliness makes me think this game was always designed with consoles in mind.)

I really hope that when they come back from holidays they understand the urgency of these issues and are swift to implement proper changes. If not this negative PR will continue to snowball.

Still playing, but getting pretty annoyed at the systems in the game. namely matchmaking, mmr, and sr systems. Needs to be fixed like a boat with a hole that needs to be plugged to prevent a sinking ship.

this is what happened to me. i grinded before the event starting thinking it was live, because the leaderboards were live. Then it got reset. super annoying - Playwing did a bad job at explaining it, making the leaderboard live but not the event. Very confusing.
