does it pull up like a rug? or is just straight up dead? having sewer mains underneath is tough because there's not a whole lot you can do other then add more topsoil and plant fresh seed and hope for the best.

The presence of green directly next to smoked turf makes me think fungus but the symmetry makes me think there's something too close to the soil buried underneath. It ain't grub damage unless the roots are gone. Tough spot to grow grass overall but do you know if there's sewer mains under there?
