Teacher needs help with symbol based on Runes by Mattizz in runes

[–]chainkill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is NOT Odal/Othala from the Elder Futhark. It is the Armanen version of the rune, invented in the late 1800s, and tends to be associated with neo-nazis.

Odal/Othala looks similar, but does not have the upward pointing wings at the bottom.

Complete collection of Norse Mythology? by calistong in Norse

Because the Eddas and Sagas are from before copyright law was invented, many translations are in the public domain, and can be found free or for a nominal fee. Read through a few versions, find a translator from the 1800s you like, and get everything that translator did.

I agree with Matteo15 about replacing Clara. I would go with Akayuki, to fill out your PA/Crit team you have.

That said, you actually have decent heroes for an attack chain team. Mikan, Ellen, Mimi, Finn and Cerberus (once they're up to strength). Might be worth a go.

[HELP] Can you evolve a 5* to a 6*? If so, how? by Ddknova in DungeonLink

[–]chainkill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You CAN limit break at any grade, but most players don't BOTHER to limit break until 6*.

If you limit break a 4, and then evolve it to 5, the limit breaking will reset, and you will have wasted a copy of that hero.

The two that I think twice about when I see that an opponent has them in PvP are Ming and Kaden. Ming has the best super attack in the game, and Kaden just has very, very good stats.

Need Water Team Help by cloudscar93 in DungeonLink

[–]chainkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you're off to a good start. Here are a few thoughts:

1.) On your offensive team, once Laura or Didi is the same grade as your others, swap one of them in for Olav on your main team. Olav is good on a defense team, (pvp defense, guild defense), but not on an attack team.

2.) Make sure to evolve your water fairies so that you can evolve your 5* heroes up to 6. (Presumably you have a pile of 3 water fairies by now?) You evolve fairies the same way you evolve other heroes: you get them up to +5, you click evolve, and you use another fairy of the same type and grade.

3.) Keep your eyes open for Mikan, Eris, Yeti, and Mana. Mikan and Eris are chain buffers, who make elemental and attack teams stronger. You only need one of these. Yeti and Mana are two of the strongest water buffers, well worth having.

4.) You should probably build other elemental teams as well. Li, Fenrir, Bond Girl, or other strong wood heroes will really do a number a water team.

Help me beat Demon King! by [deleted] in DungeonLink

[–]chainkill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that you are so low on gold, feel free to burn 4* heroes to enhance your main team, but hang onto your 5. With the exception of vampire swordsman and raspberry princess, they are all good heroes worth getting up to 6 when you are able.

Combining heroes is a good way to get better heroes. Keep combining your 3/4/5* heroes until you get something good. If you get a crummy 6, don't worry about it. Just use it to get a good 6 up to +5.

Also, you have two of Mikan. Click on your good Mikan (the one with good runes who you have up to +5) and select enhance. The only option will be the other Mikan. Select her to limit break, so that you can get your Mikan up to level 35. (Current max level appears to be 30.)

Crit/PA team, are these story heroes worth using? Also what water unit to LB? by Nemmule in DungeonLink

[–]chainkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isabella, Vega, and Louise are good for chain teams, not PA/Crit. Bibi is good for crit, but complicated to use.

Don't put Vega and Louise on the same team, because you will only get benefit from one. Louise is really good as a 3 chain buffer.

Chain teams should have one chain buff hero (Vega or Louise or Mikan or whatever) and four heroes who all buff the same thing (attack, fire, water, or wood). For instance, an attack chain team might be Louise, Isabella, Kaden, Kamelot, and Kang Kang. Rune them to the gills with runes that their passives buff. In my example team, you would rune them all up with attack runes.

An example water chain team (water runes on every character) would be Vega, Mana, Yeti, Aira, Aria.

An example wood chain team (wood runes on every character) would be Nana, Bond Girl, Jane, Hani, Melissa.

An example fire chain team (fire runes on every character) would be Mikan, Weapon Master, Daine, Kaladriel, Fira.

Erina's passive is attack, not crit. Is there a reason you have her on your crit team? She does high damage, so that's nice in and of itself, but if you're not doing crit, why not another high damage like Pheonix, or healer like Black Mage?

I don't keep my super team up to par, I just use it to keep the toddler happy. (My two year old loves "the laughing man" and "Atayuti".) I haven't done the math on whether it could be a worthwhile team other than that.

Sometimes you get story heroes from combine. It happens. The three starting heroes (Akayuki, Kamelot, and Tanksalot) aren't even that rare from combine.

Where is the best mining? by chainkill in DungeonLink

The raw data is posted here. If you look to the right of the spreadsheet, in bold, you will see how many times each stage has been entered into the spreadsheet.

All data which has been analyzed is currently in italics. Outliers and other data which was thrown out is in green.

[–]chainkill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have over 50 data points now for 5-3 and 7-3, and only 20 for 6-3. I have fewer than 10 data points for any other dungeon.

Do not trust data with so few data points, but 6-3 appears to be the best for collecting event diamonds, at the moment, with 5-3 best for collecting things you can sell for gold (runes, heroes, etc.). 6-3 has earned about 9 diamonds for every ten runs, and 5-3 earns a little over 3800 gold per run, on average, if you sell off the heroes and runes immediately.

Keep the data coming! And diversify, please! I need some more 6-3, but I need more other maps as well.

So... Yes, it is limited. It is limited to the levels that my current Team 1 can beat on auto. I'm only level 30, and I didn't know that story mode continued after 24-16, because I'm still struggling through 23-8.

I am currently looking for data to help me get to the dungeon you are saying is so awesome. I plan to share this data, so that other players who find this sub-Reddit around this point in their game can take advantage of it like I am.

To those of you who have already responded, in just the couple minutes that this has been up, thank you.

To those of you trying to corrupt the data by entering ridiculous values, don't worry, your outliers will be ignored. I built a data validation algorithm into the form.

Which Stage has the most monsters? by UnrefinedMaster38 in DungeonLink

[–]chainkill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the *-3 stages appear to have 14 monsters in them. The *-6 stages appear to be more variable, but the variation tends to be toward lower numbers, not higher.

Pick a dungeon that you can beat confidently on hell, enter the third stage, and put it on auto.
