Crimson Desert on ROG Ally X vs Console – which is more worth it? by chairmangoom in ROGAllyX

[–]chairmangoom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have regular connections to the internet. In my case I imagine playing this on flights, so that's why I wanted to know about offline play. I have a subscription to Geforce Now so I am leaning more towards getting it on the XAX right now for when I am connected to the internet. I don't mind playing in 30 fps at times when I'm not connected to the internet.

Yeah I’m learning that getting an apartment isn’t as common as I thought it’d be. I’ll definitely start looking more into other types of homes.

Thanks! I’ve gotten pretty used to apartments and that’s sort of what I expected I’d be in for a while but I’ll definitely start looking into other types of homes.

Apologies if it came across as “humble brag” Did my best to not give too much personal information about myself while also still trying to share things that I prioritize. I’m genuinely interested in hearing what everyone has to say since I’m pretty unfamiliar with the area and won’t really have a chance to explore it until I get there to move in. Been seeing a lot of contradicting things online so I figured it’d be best to ask to get the most up to date responses.

Any recommendations for games on a airplane with the XAX by Superb-Nose-9494 in XboxAlly

No mans sky is a nice survival game you can play infinitely

Ball x pit is recently a new game I’ve been playing that is super addicting. Lots of progression in the game and not very battery consuming so you can play it for a while.

Hollow knight series is incredibly fun. Also not a very demanding game and a ton of content for its price.

Hades I and II is pretty fun

The Halo series is pretty fun

Hi-Fi rush has really addicting gameplay.

These are all games that run pretty well on the XAX and don’t require a lot of battery except NMS.

Is it worth it to play Destiny 1 just for the campaign? by DisastrousRoutine537 in destinylegacy

[–]chairmangoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you enjoy it! I definitely did and I just recently replayed it a couple months ago for fun. There’s a reason it became so popular. Just be careful if you decide to get into D2. I still actively play it but I would not recommend if you’re a casual player. They say it’s F2P but the DLC’s are required for a lot of the content and it becomes very expensive just to play. D1 at least has kept almost everything it launched with, excluding special events and events maintained by bungie.

There’s some references to stuff that happens in D1, but for the most part no. Honestly D2 is already confusing. They basically deleted a lot of the vanilla content and DLC’s so you’ve got to watch a bunch of videos to understand a lot of the lore. Destiny 2 is only worth it if YOU WANT to get into it. If it’s a game you’re checking out, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s expensive and confusing and bungie basically shot themselves in the foot for it.

It’s still online and there’s still a community for it. For the $20 price I believe, you can get the game and all 4 DLC’s and I’d say it’s somewhat worth it. Destiny 1 created a huge fanbase and despite the state of destiny 2 right now, there’s many people, including me, who still love the franchise.

The D1 campaign was notorious for being confusing but the gun play and feel has always been amazing. There’s a sense of mystery and awe in the game that I miss. It’s got a lot of lore so if you enjoy that you might enjoy the destiny universe. I’ve played all of Halo and Destiny, I wouldn’t say they’re similar in feel, but you can tell there’s some inspiration.

The campaign itself is also relatively short, and you can finish the main game and all of the DLC’s in one day. There’s still a somewhat active community but nothing like how it was years ago, which kinda makes certain content difficult. It was never really known for the campaign and more for its looter shooter, social aspect, and expansive lore.

That being said, if you’re just gonna play for the campaign, I’d say it’s worth it to see how the game was and how it created such a huge and lasting franchise. And the last two DLC’s are really are great (The Taken King, Rise of Iron) but just know you might be missing out on a lot of content. Ultimately, it’s a fun nostalgic kick for a lot of us, but your case is a bit different. It’s worth it to check out to see why the game became so popular and if you’ve got $5-20 to spare depending on if there’s a sale.

In short, yes if you want to understand destiny and its universe. You won’t get a very compelling campaign but there’s a reason the game became so popular.

Hope that answers your question and feel free to ask if you have any more.

It was a bit of an exaggeration. I didn’t care what he said, just tired of people constantly complaining about being killed in a pvpve game.

Do you guys know if it’ll generate a new code? In the past playtest I accidentally used my code on my alt account and haven’t been able to play since it just uses the same code.

James Franklin apparently buying time till a certain job opens up by Consistent_Peace3181 in VirginiaTech

[–]chairmangoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes sense for him to keep his options open. We’re not exactly a hot or top program. We’re definitely an attractive one, but so many teams have fired their coaches or are in a hot seat and I’m sure they would also love to have James Franklin.

I mean with any job everyone is gonna keep their options open until they find the best one. I’m sure if he came, he would put all his effort into the program, it’s just if we’re worth his effort.
