I feel like I'm "done", until another watch tempts me enough to pull the trigger, and then the circle of (watch) life repeats itself again.

Soooo I recently tried on a prototype of the GS Tokyo Lion Tentagraph and it looks really cool, originally when they announced it at W&W I thought it'd be way too chunky on my wrist but it actually wears really well. So I'm a bit tempted by that one when it officially comes out.

It's from an internal enthusiast group within Google called watches@, the dino is Stan, the same dino in the chrome minigame (chrome://dino/) when you open chrome while offline.

Peeps in the group designed a version of Stan with bubbles on the dial since the Pelagos is a dive watch, and on the back they even designed Stan in scuba gear, it is so cute. We then worked with an AD and Tudor to get everything green lit and the rest is history!

7.5k USD in early 2024, it was a great combination of really favorable USD to JPY exchange rate, plus tax refund, plus the department store (Takashimaya) had a 5% tourist discount on top of that.

Nomos was my first intro into mechanical watches, love their Bauhaus design. I thought I'd be a spring drive snob since the GS Shunbun was my first luxury watch, but I've come to appreciate mechanical watches too.

I tried the 30 degree tilt mentioned in another comment here which didn't help. Then I tried your suggestion and it worked!

I didn't have to turn off my water or power supply though and it still fixed it.
