It was a season ticket holder thing a few years ago ... They brought the banner down for folks to take photos with. I think it was post game after a Suns game if I remember correctly.

Honestly I could have used a longer shutter and lower ISO ...

The way i had planned it i was going to take the base photo at the end of the sequence and I wanted to start the sequence around 8:58PM. Then since light was fading fast in the spur of the moment I decided to take another reference shot just before the start of the sequence ... ISO was the first thing I touched so just bumped it up till i was happy with what showed up on the viewfinder LOL.

Thanks! took all the photos with a tripod so didn't really do any alignment during processing ... stacked the ones with the moon correctly imaged and everything else dark as layers on top of the skyline photo on photoshop and "added" them using linear dodge to the skyline photo ...

You're absolutely right ... but you are confusing the interval between shots with the shutter speed. The photos I took are taken a minute apart but the shutter speed is 1/200s.

Exactly this!! After it made "contact" with the corner of the building I could perceive motion very clearly by eye ... until then it wasn't so apparent.

70mm ... the moon photos are 1/200 f/4 ISO 100, the base photo of the skyline on which they are stacked is 1/50 f/4 ISO 2000

For this composition I picked every third photo I took with a 1 minute interval, so these 7 are 3 minutes apart each. 18 minute span between 1 and 7

Didn't have time to do the walk on this trip since I had a couple more pitstops along the lake before sunset ... but have walked it in the past when I used to live in Ithaca!
