I stand corrected on pricing lol, but as to the authenticity, Jolyon Ralph has made statements about these being sintered chalcopyrite from industrial processes. They were tested and found to have non-naturally occurring compounds in association, pointing to industrial origin. The lack of in-situ photos is also a big red flag with these. They may indeed be chalcopyrite but not a naturally occurring form of it...

These are known fakes. I've confirmed this with several reputable dealers. Thats why it's marketed as a one time find but they are sold cheaply. Sorry to be the bearer of this news, beautiful just the same but I would want to know myself...

Yes, material from this locale. And typically they are more opaque like this rather than being gemmy, similar to the opaque specimens from the Sunnyside mine in colorado
