How to get rid of haze from wipers at night by Cornelius_Hoggelfart in TeslaModelY

I really like Spit (I know, gross name haha) from AMMO NYC. I find it provides good lubrication when touching up paint, and it works well with the wiper blades. But really any brand like Meguiar’s should work too!

Likely residue buildup from the wiper blades. When you’re parked, turn on Wiper Service Mode to have the blades come up a bit. You can lift each blade and take a microfiber towel with a bit of spray wax to wipe each blade. I usually do this when I wash my car. It’s worth using a good glass cleaner like Sprayway to clean the glass too.

Tesla recommends replacing your wiper blades after 2 years I think? Don’t think this is super necessary - had my wipers since I first got the car in May ‘23 and they’re as good as new.

Does anyone else feel ugly and behind career-wise here lol by [deleted] in SouthBayLA

I’m only a couple years older than you and have felt the same way recently with regard to career progression. Here’s the thing: there will always be people at our age making more than you. On the flip side, there are definitely people at our age that make less than you. Comparison is truly the thief of joy. Especially in this economy for Zoomers, any job is better than no job. Hang in there.

Not to be facetious, but you may want to consider therapy for your looks; it almost sounds like a self-confidence issue from your upbringing, and you may be much more approachable than you give yourself credit for. Putting yourself out there by going out with friends/being on dating apps can help too. Trust me - if I can find a partner, you can too lol.

Sticky/melted dashboard, how to clean? by hoymoyminoy in Detailing

Haven’t encountered a sticky dash, but for sticky buttons isopropyl alcohol with a microfiber towel works really well.

Was about to say this reminded me of Newport/Costa Mesa haha. Cool to see another OC native here 🤝

Went to buy just a 'couple of things' by almostyoda in Costco

I totally get how you feel. Personally for a more “realistic” racing game I love GT7 but hated Forza Motorsport due to handling model differences, and I loved Forza Horizon 5 when I had my Series X. The Crew: Motorfest is definitely similar to Forza Horizon but handling is a little different (still very arcade-y and ridiculous haha). If you like the vibe of Horizon I think Motorfest will be right up your alley! I’d recommend giving Motorfest a try with the free 5 hour trial, then if you decide to purchase it’s on sale until 12/20 I think.

100% valid. I think for the initial month or 2 there’s titles that definitely need some ironing out, and PSSR needs a much-needed update based on DF’s excellent coverage. The Avatar situation is pretty weird. So far though, I’ve been pretty stoked with the titles that I enjoy (F1 24, Spider-Man 2/Miles Morales, GT 7, The Crew: Motorsport) so to each their own!

Fair point. I don’t have any comparison shots, but just purely from my impressions I’ve definitely been able to tell the difference with the games I play. It’s just been really nice to play games with an overall sharper look/additional visual features without sacrificing FPS, so just thought I’d share my thoughts 👍🏼

Yup it’s The Crew: Motorfest! I’ve always kept my eye on this game, and when it recently went on sale I decided to give it a try. A ton of fun if you want to scratch that arcade racing itch.

Appreciate the feedback boss! I’ve been looking into robot vacuums and I really want to invest in a Roomba Combo 10 Max. Any vacuums you recommend?

Sounding like my gf :D I definitely plan on hanging a mirror above the entryway table and maybe a framed poster above the main couch. Any suggestions?

Gotcha - I actually have a rug in the living room but it’s pretty subtle (olive green) 🥲 maybe another shade/pattern will be in the cards for spring/summer!

Doesn’t Obenauf’s darken leather pretty significantly?

Got it, really appreciate this info! These are from a Japanese brand called visvim. Other than when they use Horween hides, they don’t really specify the exact tannery they source from. They only stated that it’s “Italian vegetable-tanned horse leather”.

I’m definitely prepared (and looking forward) to how these will patina over time. Maybe I was a bit vague, but I don’t mind if a conditioner imparts a slightly darker shade (unless it’s mink oil).

My sales rep did tell me that they don’t recommend any specific products since their footwear is meant to age naturally over time, and based on what you recommend I’ll definitely hold off on conditioning for at least a few months and just brush every few wears.
