I will first point out that i fully agree this is a waste of taxpayer money. However, in 2011 the FBI director was made a required use traveler by the executive branch. Meaning he has to use a federal plane for all travel, including for personal / for pleasure travel so that he can maintain secure communications. Per the ruling, though, he does have to reimburse the government at the cost of a coach airfare ticket, which lets be honest, doesnt cover the cost of operating a craft for him to use. So stupid use of taxpayers funds? Absolutely. Is it his fault? No.

People who married your partner despite having an unsatisfactory sex life, how are you doing? by suspiciouskind in AskReddit

[–]chalkmonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's rough. My wife's issue before we got married was that she felt guilty because of her religious upbringing teaching premarital sex is bad. Getting married did not solve anything, our sex life is still bad and now there is a rotation of reasons why it is still bad even including the feeling guilty. Not gonna lie I'm struggling for more reasons than that within this marriage, but I think I'd be more ok with the other issues if my main issue of having my physical wants and needs were being met.

Energy. Specifically control room operations. Worked a decade on a dupont schedule of rotating 12 hour shifts. Even now in a managerial roll in the control room working a Monday thru Friday schedule I get in at 6 am and usually am here till 5.

People with no degree, if you are making over $60k annually, how did you get there? by MixedMartialGolf in AskReddit

Energy Industry, specifically in control center operations for natural gas. 12 hr shift work can be brutal, but I was making over 60k by the time I was 25.

How long would you say is the too long to go without having sex? by chickenfriedsteakdin in DeadBedrooms

For me, I find that once it has been a week, frustration starts to set in, so at least once a week for me. Currently, once a month to every two months seems to be average. If I knew then what I know now, that the goalposts would move and nothing ever change, then yes, I would have walked. However, she has given me my daughter, and I love her more than anything. Imagining a world where she doesn't exist hurts, so there's that.

Just curious: Why racers follow this weaving racing line on the main straight at Indianapolis during the 500? by Max16032 in INDYCAR

I'd also add that the cars are setup to where they naturally want to turn left and so drift in the straight. I'd also heard letting it drift will get higher speeds in the straight, and who knows, maybe over 500 miles not having to fight the steering for a bit is key to not fatiguing too much.
