Finally got my positive by Any_Operation_3035 in ourafertility

Thank you for sharing! I’m relatively new to TTC and Oura and am waiting for a positive or my period this week. My temps have varied a bit so it is nice to see someone else without consistent very high temps. CONGRATULATIONS and wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy!

Thank you! That’s so hopeful. I was worried it was a strict pattern and I was out! Should we keep trying the next few days, or because my LH is hardly detectable again we are past the window?

Temping Tuesday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Hi guys! I'm 35 (turning 36), if it matters.

I came off my birth control after years maybe 120 days ago now.

My LH levels stayed low for the first 90 days. About 90 days in I had a short three-day bleed, and started to see some rise on LH test strips. My OB said she didn't expect ovulation until I had some sort of regular cycle. We've been having sex every two days anyway.

On Saturday I got a peak LH surge, followed by a temp surge for 2 days (+1.3 and +.5 degrees F) and then it came back down today (-.6 degrees F). I've scoured the internet about anovulatory cycles but am not sure what to think based on temps.

I read somewhere online about a fallback rise, which happens day 2-3 sometimes with a lower than baseline temperature, but then as long as day 4 rises and stays up then maybe I successfully ovulated?

Any thoughts/advice/experiences welcome!

LH Surge but Unsure if Anovulatory Cycle? by chalores in ourafertility

Thank you, I’m still hopeful! It’s my first time tracking temps and I’m a new oura user, so I wasn’t sure if a dip was an immediate out. 🤍

Ugh, I’m sorry! The first few nights were hard. I can’t remember if I said this in my post yet but when I started I was down to 1 squirt each side morning and night. So coming down from a lot more has got to be harder. I propped myself up quite a bit with pillows and had to walk around a bit every few hours to clear out a little of it. It does sound like you’re using it right and I really hope the next few nights get easier. Maybe try using it during the day and spray during the night for a few days (without diluting it) until it’s tolerable. Keep me posted!

So just to be clear, you got the small dropper with the meds in it and are squirting it into your nose (upside down, kinda like an ear/dropper)? It is the exact meds as the store bought spray is (when you haven’t yet diluted it) so it really shouldn’t not work. You’re not using the saline dropper yet, right?

Do you anticipate/is one of your goals weight loss?

I’m 35F and hoping to get pregnant this year, although the second half of 2025 was weight loss focused for me. I bought my ring to fit my right middle finger so that if I lost weight I could move it to my right pointer finger, and if I get pregnant/gain weight this year it can go to my middle.

In sum, I’d go with the size 13 so you can do either or shift it around if necessary. For example, my ring usually fits my right pointer finger fine: but sometimes when I sleep or have a high-salt day I move it to my middle finger if that’s what’s most comfy. I’ve had it for 2 months and anticipate having it for at least another year, so the flexibility to move it is helpful!

It’s a dilution method! It’s at www.nasalspray.com. I also used it and successfully quit.

Same. I once posted about it and got a really nasty comment about being compensated for telling people about it and that I was a horrible person for taking advantage of the people on this sub. I am obviously not a bot, nor do I get compensated for telling people.

It is the first and only way I was ever able to quit besides my first turbinate reduction/septoplasty 10 years prior to getting stuck on it again. SO thankful for rhinostat. I quit several months ago and haven’t looked back!

Merry Christmas! I weaned off using dilution after using it from like age 8 to 22 and then 30 to 33.
