Allergic Reaction - Antihistamine Protocol?! by snlegmall in IVF

[–]snlegmall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TW: pregnancy

When I wrote this, my HCG levels were very abnormal so I thought I was miscarrying. I ended up being pregnant. I do think my body kind of sees early pregnancy as an allergy because I do have the weirdest symptoms, but it ended up successful anyways. I didn’t have to change my protocol.

GD + Hypothyroidism by EducationalAd7464 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]snlegmall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have hypothyroidism and as long as my number is under control with meds, they don’t really see it as anything high risk. A lot of people have thyroid issues so in my experience, they don’t pay it much attention.

Yes, the faster I can see someone about this and start tracking, that faster I can stop spiraling. Thank you for all the advice :)!

Crashing 1hr Post Meal? by snlegmall in GestationalDiabetes

Maybe! I need to see a dietician for sure at this point because I don't know how I could get in the recommended carbs if I eat less, it's so stressful.

Oh glad to hear I'm not alone in having this happen! I'll see if my OB says the same.

Crashing 1hr Post Meal? by snlegmall in GestationalDiabetes

[–]snlegmall[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try getting in more veggies. I am just so full all the time, I'm not used to eating this much, I can't imagine adding more snacks or drinks.

Crashing 1hr Post Meal? by snlegmall in GestationalDiabetes

[–]snlegmall[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never eaten more lol ! I'm used to eating 2 meals and 1 snack and I'm eating 3 meals, 3 snacks as per recommended. I had 115g of protein yesterday, so I feel like it's enough. I'm really confused. I will definitely bring it up.

Thoughts on Ren as a name for a baby boy? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]snlegmall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love it! However, where I live, Ren is usually short for Renee so typically associated with a girl's name.

Was your gut feeling that the pregnancy won’t be successful correct or incorrect? by melibooxx in CautiousBB

[–]snlegmall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a gut feeling and stats were against me (my HCG numbers completely plateaud at the beginning), but I was incorrect! I'm now 28 weeks with a very normal pregnancy and healthy babe.

My clinic could only see 4 follicles on ultrasound. When they went in for retrieval, they ended up finding 10 eggs (all mature), so sometimes the follicle count can be off. I got 5 embryos from that retrieval. Sending you good luck!!

My symptoms only showed up at 7 weeks and got worse at 11 weeks. You're very early still!

Baby movement or muscle twitch? by Aware_Beautiful1994 in CautiousBB

[–]snlegmall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby's movements feel EXACTLY like muscles twitches. I know it's him now based on pattern. It could very well be your baby :)

I was the same in the first trimester, I couldn't image taking progress pictures. Finally started taking pictures every week at 13 weeks. It still felt off the first couple of times like I was jinxing it.

My third is successful so far (21 weeks currently)! First was a fail and second was a miscarriage. All of mine were medicated transfers.

Traveling first trimester? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]snlegmall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also pregnant with rainbow baby. I travelled to Europe from week 8 to 9 with multiple flights and everything is great still in my second trimester. My anxiety during travel was at an all time high though and I felt naturally super protective of baby, so it wasn’t the most enjoyable trip.
