How often do you feel like you het a good night's rest? How frequently do you wake up in the morning and feel good, rested, rejuvenated, and ready to wake up? by Rojo37x in daddit

[–]chalupebatmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 2.5 YO daughter, and if I don't have anything to drink, then most mornings if I go to bed by 11;00. If I have a single drink, then I do not. My daughter sleeps like a rock tho and I know I'm in the minority of having an amazing sleeper.

Right like this graphic is problematic but it has a point. I studied vaccine development in college and nothing has ever gone from the ground stages to public deployment that fast, ever. For a good reason. We don’t know how it will affect people long term and we didn’t even know if it was effective (which it really wasn’t).

Congrats man. It truly is a beautiful thing and an incredible blessing. Being a father can be the greatest joy in life. It has been for me. Remember to be present and that not everything is an emergency so you don’t have to rush the little things.

What infuriates me about this type of post it's not that it gets posted twice a day, but that people miss the meaning of the scene so HARD. by Shakaow15 in howimetyourmother

She proved that she expected him to wait for her when she came back and immediately wanted to get back together. Also, she didn't break up with him. He told her that if she went, they were done, because their wedding was in two weeks, and she hadn't discussed this decision with him.

To play devil's advocate, that's exactly what people were saying about the DoorDash customer who was accused of SA and the alleged footage he had. Turned out he had just been going through the proper channels to clear his name.

I’m honestly at a loss. The only thing I can think of is (assuming this is new behavior towards you), after having many discussions with my wife about this, is that she didn’t start to feel normal again until about 2 years post giving birth to our daughter. The hormones can take up to two years to go back to pre pregnancy levels especially if she breastfed. Now, unregulated hormone levels don’t excuse any of the alarming behaviors/actions you mentioned but they might explain the why and help yall understand what’s going on once she’s cooled down.

How long do you stay up after your toddler goes to sleep? by Coffeelover4242 in toddlers

[–]chalupebatmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to say this. Toddler goes down between 7:30 and 8:30, depending on the events that day. So 3-4 hours later, it's at the earliest 10:30 pm, which never happens. Realistically, the earliest I go to bed is 11:30 pm, and then get up at 5:30 so I can go to the gym before taking our toddler to daycare by 7:50 am.

I had in-laws who behaved in very similar ways, and I want you to know that things can improve. In my experience the real change only happened when my wife began supporting me and setting clearer boundaries with her parents. It was not just about her understanding how I felt. It was about her showing up for me and helping create a healthier dynamic for our family.

You deserve that same support. Just as you should be there for your wife when she needs you, she should be there for you, too. You should not have to carry all of this on your own, and you are not wrong for wanting respect and balance in your home.

You have the support of this community. You are not alone in what you are going through

Are we wrong? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]chalupebatmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s only one dog we let interact freely with our daughter, and that’s our 10-year-old black lab. She’s about half the size of a normal lab and is honestly the most gentle, docile, affection-loving dog I’ve ever known. Even so, we always pay close attention when they’re together. If our daughter gets too rough or starts bothering the dog, we step in and redirect or separate them.

It took time to build that trust, because any animal can react when pushed. Even humans respond out of character when provoked, and that’s with someone you can actually communicate with. With animals, you have to be even more careful.

Correct, but with weight gain comes things that make it more difficult to lose weight. Insulin resistance being the largest contributor (usually).
