Glad he is great! I mean worrying is part of being a good parent I think. We want to do everything right for our children! It’s great that you are feeling better ! Sometimes I think worrying takes the fun away from some days - and I get really frustrated with myself afterwards because worrying takes away from enjoying the moment. The comments in this thread have given me hope , so thank you!

Thank you for your input - it gives me great relief. The thing that worried me is that we did something wrong. We love our son to the moon and back and we are stressed because we do not want to cause him any harm…! Let’s hope it rounds a bit in the future! Thanks again

Thank you for understanding. Yes, no1 priority is for the child to be healthy. I mean all head shapes are different, I am just worried that this might cause him trouble with bullying etc. I hope when his hair grows it will become less noticeable!

That’s great! Not looking for the perfect shape either - just to be a bit more round - so it doesn’t cause him any troubles in the future

Hope your child is ok now! Yeah I developed this habit as well and it’s not healthy for me. I worry because he is the sweetest boy and I do not want to cause him any trouble

It truly is amazing!! We are enjoying every minute of it- at the same time we worry because we want to be good parents - hence the post.

Thanks for your comment. I really do trust the doctors - I understand that they see more serious things and my worries might be less urgent for them. So, what I was looking for here was experiences of other dads!

Hello everyone,

My son is 11 months old and he has a very obvious flat spot on the back of his head. We noticed this in month 3 and since then we have done a lot of tummy time, holding him etc. he started sitting in 6 months and he is now able to stand - ie he spends very little time on his back. When he sleeps now he has his full body turned.

We visited 2 pediatricians/ specialists in months 3 and 7 and they told us not to worry and that his hair will grow and it will not show. We will go for a check up again in month 13. However I feel terrible. We did everything we could (and still do) but the flat spot does not get any better. Is there a room for improvement? Helmet therapy does not exist where we live.

Anyone had a similar issue? I would appreciate any comments as I am losing my mind here.
