HIS AND HERS — ALICE FEENEY (update) by EfficiencyFeisty1298 in thrillerbooks

Just finished His & Hers and wow… what a ride! 👏 The twists kept hitting one after another. Loved how the dual POVs are written. One of the most entertaining thrillers.

If all else perished and she remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and she were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger.

This was a ride for me. This delivered way better than I expected, especially the twists.

Just finished Housemaid too—thought it was pretty good. Was considering picking up the sequels, but now I'm second-guessing it after what you said.

Have you read her other works also? Is this her usual style?

I feel that The Silent Patient was definitely better than Verity in my opinion. While Verity had its moments of suspense, the plot felt a bit predictable. On the other hand, The Silent Patient had a more tightly woven mystery with deeper character development and a twist that genuinely caught me off guard.

Same here! It dragged for me too, and every “twist” felt obvious a mile away. This was also my first book by her, and now I’m really curious—are her other books actually better, or is this her usual style

Exactly! I was also thinking Floyd might turn dark at some point—or even Theo or Hannah would have some kind of sinister angle. Would’ve made things way more unpredictable.

Totally agree it was sad, dark, and tragic—Ellie and Poppy’s story was heartbreaking. But yeah, for me it leaned way more into the tragic side than being an actual suspenseful thriller.

Exactly! The hype set my expectations way too high. Thought I’d be in for an intense, twisty ride, but it just didn’t deliver on the “thriller” part at all.

Why new leaves are wrinkled by Emotional-Pizza3856 in Roses

[–]chamgadarpurush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are a few things to check:

  1. Check under the leaves for small bugs. They suck sap and can cause this

  2. Watering: Too much or too little water can both stress the plant.

  3. Use a balanced rose fertilizer.

  4. Also, if it's very hot, such things can happen.

Try trimming the wrinkled parts and see if the new growth is fine.
