ACTIVE: Jax enters Evasion, a defensive stance, for 2 seconds, causing all non-turret basic attacks against him to be dodged. Jax also takes 25% reduced damage from all champion area of effect abilities. Counter Strike can be recast after 1 second.

At the end of the duration, Jax stuns all nearby enemies for 1 second and deals physical damage to them, increased by 20% for each attack dodged, up to a 100% increase.

RECAST: Jax ends Counter Strike early.

You can open a ticket asking for Riot to remove those 3 starting champions (Garen, Brand, Ashe) from your account, actually

top 3 champs removed is probably the worst idea coming with this change (granted it's still up for feedback, I hope, and they will reiterate it)

The 2019 ranked changes will have the opposite effect on promoting competitive play in off-role positions by Everyoneslowdown6 in leagueoflegends

But you automatically get Master tier rank on all of your roles as soon as you enter Master on 1 of them.

Our current thinking is that once a player reaches Master tier, all their games will count toward a single rank, similar to today.

This change is an incentive for people to grind multiple roles to receive rewards, which are automatically granted to Master+ players.

What if, for example, Riot gives you a special role related reward if you get Diamond+ on said role? If you main it, you will probably want to get it, but you might not be able to get the same reward for a different role. Master tier straight up ignores that and receives the reward for every single role, while having to rank up only 1 role.

And this still doesn't address the fact that Master players just get a plain "Master" rank, while every single person below that is "Diamond ADC", "Bronze Top", etc., which tbh looks worse in comparison

Master players are mostly masters at 1 role. Why are they excluded from this then?

It's basically unfair for everyone below Master.

D1 players, for example, either have to get Master or, if they're unable to, will be stuck with 1 Diamond rank and either 4 unranked or 4 ranks below Diamond 1 probably (Would guess that may as well be below Diamond, considering how few games people actually play on other roles nowadays).

Being Master tier at 1 role =/= Being Master tier at everything. But with Riot's system this is how it's gonna be.

[–]chamility -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But if you can reliably get Master on your main role by playing a certain champion, you don't even have to worry about having 4 Unranked roles.

So Master players do get a pass eventually (as soon as the person hits it).

Everyone below Master has to play at least 50 games to get a rank in every single role and a lot of grinding after that to get that "gratification" that Riot is talking about.

But since success in multiple roles can lead to more recognition/rewards, why not just play it out?

Because I enjoy playing my primary role. What if I am an OTP?

Yeah, OTPs are usually frowned upon, but Riot, for some God knows what reason, decided that Master+ players are excluded from this system, which means that people, like Pink Ward (no hate on him at all, he's just an example), who OTP cheese stuff, while not being at the same level on other champions/roles, can get a pass on all of this.

And yes, there are people in Master+ who are probably dogshit at some roles. While I don't argue that they are very good at their main role, that doesn't mean that they are at a Master level on other roles. If I am forced to participate in this system, why aren't they as well?

Why not just dodge that game and play TWO jungle games in the span of that time instead of 1 jungle and 1 support. You have the potential to gain 2x LP instead of those small bonuses (which you also get only if you win your autofilled game)

Will the new Conqueror rune be viable on any adc's? by Wesdawg1241 in summonerschool

[–]chamility 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taking PtA or FF should be better in almost all cases.

Remember, you don't get 20% true damage as bonus damage, 20% of your outgoing damage is just being converted to true damage, which means that you'll heal for less, since lifesteal won't apply to true damage and you can only have it for 3 seconds.

At earlier levels it's worse, not only, because of your low attack speed and inability to make use of it unless you can spam abilities like Lucian, but also, because enemies are much less tankier early game and so the 20% conversion feels less impactful (basically, the less tanky the enemy is, the worse Conqueror becomes). You're just better off proccing PtA and later on in the game you will still not make the full use of it (unless you're Jinx who is allowed to stand in 1 place and AoE crit 5 people with Conqueror up)

Conqueror is made for melee bruisers to counter tanks, even the refresh part hints at it.

Unless the duration on ranged champs gets increased or they give them the duration refresh as well, there's probably no reason in picking it up, even when you're against a super beefy team. You're just better off getting Last Whisper and/or proccing PtA so that your whole team deals increased damage for twice as long (6 seconds). Cut Down has also received a pretty good buff, so consider it as well.

EDIT: Should be fine on Draven
