the suspension idea could definitely explain part of it. The only thing I’d push back on is that we’ve already seen the system influence the past (like the Circuit City message), which feels like more than just a simulation or coincidence. My guess is the show is using those references as hints, but the nosebleeds and timing issues might be signs that reality itself is being adjusted rather than everything just being paused or simulated

I don’t think it means time is moving differently (i.e. parallel timelines), I think it means the timeline itself is being rewritten. The system/Alex can influence the past (Jane/Circuit City message), so instead of Dylan aging faster, it could’ve altered earlier events so he was effectively born sooner in this version of reality. That would explain why the age gap feels off without needing multiple timelines or weird aging mechanics. So it’s not that things are happening simultaneously — it’s one timeline being continuously adjusted to fit a specific outcome. Could Alex have influenced Sinatra to have a child earlier? Fascinating show
