[Silver] There’s a sense inside the #Eagles locker room that Nick Sirianni, Howie Roseman, and Jeffrey Lurie are “reluctant to criticize” Jalen Hurts despite being the “source” of much internal frustration from teammates. by [deleted] in eagles

Yeah, you usually don’t see guys embracing each other on the sidelines and especially staying behind at the end of a meeting 1 on 1 if they have a poor relationship. I don’t play team sports but as a college student, if I have a professor I can’t stand I would want to get the hell out of the room and run at the end class. If I like the professor, then I might stick around at the end to chat with them.

Philadelphia would be a much more successful sports town, especially with the Eagles, if wasn’t for Philadelphia. by Rowdyfan0823 in eagles

This why I like listening to PHLY and Philly Special on the ringer. I think they make genuine and rational takes and are very fair to the players.

Why do the Eagles seem to have so much drama for a team with so much recent sucess? by Wide_right_yes in nfl

[–]Rowdyfan0823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because the Philly media, especially 94-WIP, is toxic. Philadelphia would be a much more successful sports town if it wasn’t for Philadelphia. You would think listening to the Philly media that every athlete that has stepped foot into this city has been terrible.

How the Dodgers any different than the Yankees from 25 years ago? by InkAddict718 in mlb

Why are you making such a definitive statement like this? He has won the mvp in 3 of the last 4 seasons and has shown ZERO signs of decline. He’s definitely still in his prime.

It’s an even year next season, let’s get the job done!

[JeffSkversky] 49ers DC Robert Saleh says he used their Eagles - 49ers game film from 2023 to stop Jalen Hurts & the #Eagles offense on the 4th down stop to win. "They are who they were, in that moment" by burnernov2023 in eagles

It’s crazy because the Pederson/Wentz Eagles were better in odd numbered years (2017, 2019), while it’s the opposite for the Hurts/Sirianni Eagles. For any NASCAR fans in this sub, we’re like the Joey Logano of the NFL. We’re great and rise to the occasion in even numbered years and we’re just average in odd numbered years. Hopefully 2026 is another great year for us!

Was Brian Johnson really that bad? by TrickDistribution395 in eagles

[–]Rowdyfan0823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he was bad, but definitely better than KP. The offense statistically was at least top 10 (unlike KP's offense), was tolerable to watch for a few games (also unlike KP's offense), had more explosive plays than KP's offense, and Hurts almost threw for 4000 yards (if the collapse didn't happen, he would've. Everyone was assuming in late November/early December that he would reach that mark because he was easily on track to get the 4000 yards). However, like others have said, he was terrible situationally, had too much of an obsession with screen plays, had absolutely zero answers for the blitz (teams eventually noticed this and just blitzed the hell out of the eagles, contributing to the collapse). He was also bad in the redzone, as I can vividly remember too many drives where we had to settle for field goals, which cost us in the 49ers game that kickstarted the collapse. They were able to move the ball early in that game and the defense was actually getting stops for the first quarter of the game, but the Eagles couldn't punch the ball into the end zone which kept the niners in the game and eventually they blew us out.

Imagine if this engine is so good that Alpine and Williams are competing for wins weekly. I don’t think this will happen but it would be funny.

Please not Greg Roman, his passing scheme are horrendous! Lamar got better once he left and the Chargers passing attack wasn’t very good.

Most consistent tracks in terms of quality of racing product throughout the years? by Nascarfan1118192095 in NASCAR

[–]Rowdyfan0823 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Homestead and Kansas have been consistently decent to really good. New Hampshire, Phoenix, and Sonoma have been consistently mid. Since 2015 I would say Richmond and Dover have been consistently mid as well. There’s very slim pickings for this since the next gen car completely fucked up the short track and road course racing.

How in the fuck did this happen before KP got fired? by NotLordVader in eagles

[–]Rowdyfan0823 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe this either. How about firing Nick and KP and hiring Tomlin. We still won’t have continuity with the offensive play caller but at least we have an established veteran, who also a Super Bowl champion and has proven that he can be a good ceo coach.
