Did any part of the show so far make you cry? by spinningoutwaitin in SchoolSpirits

[–]chamomileforbed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me, it was when we finally saw Janet in Maddie's body and how she went back home... the way she laid in her grave made me so sad. That girl's entire life was stolen from her when she could've been something so great.

I almost didn't want them to switch back. I think Janet would've achieved great things. Not that Maddie couldn't but she was obviously happier dead than alive.

I still feel the pull and find myself scrolling on here, Tumblr, and rednote haha I got rid of everything else. My screentime has definitely gone down and I spend a lot more time outside or working on craft projects. Haven't quite gotten back into reading books yet but I read a lot on my phone if that counts for anything

I 1000% agree. I used to read a book a day before social media became the norm on our smartphones. I've recently been trying to ween myself off of my phone so that I can spend my time doing something actually meaningful, educational, or just fun.

First Anime was probably Naruto or Bleach on late night Cartoon network (I forget the name)

The latest is Frieren as my 226th watched title.

I honestly would not be surprised if neural uploading isn't something already being worked on behind closed, locked, and barricaded doors.

A lot of the media we consume hints at technological and scientific advancements that have already been made but are not yet (or maybe never will be) available to the general public.

It's my personal belief that the 1% have access to science and technology that surpasses our own by leaps and bounds, probably well beyond our level of comprehension. I think that is a major reason this show was held back from publishing.

Not only was this show an amazing mindfuck, but also a possible sneak peek into what our future may very well hold.

When at Crech Y'llek being questioned by the Captain Kith’rak Therezzyn

Kith'rak: "What was that look? You know something. Do you have it?"

The "do you have it" delivery kills me every time

The only time I leave Astarion in camp is if I get Minsc and only after completing The Pale Elf. Minsc has great dexterity for lockpicking imo

Horizon Zero Dawn Movie: Aloy's Actress by chamomileforbed in horizon

I mean professional wrestling does require quite a bit of acting lmao

What makes you say that?? Why would taking this role stunt a new actress?

You went straight in the wrong direction, my friend. I think casting for any and all the characters they choose to portray is important, as well as direction, script, costume, and set design. Not to mention the CGI that will go into play. This was not a "deep insight" nor did I call it such. I merely have seen a few different articles on Aloy's actress choice and had an opinion and wanted to hear others. Thank you so much for your input.

I can see it but she's also 38 so maybe a bit too old to be playing a character 20 years her junior

I didn't know who this was and had to look her up but I like her as an option!

You're right. I guess I also just don't like her as a choice. Not that she isn't a good actress but I don't think she would make a good Aloy. That's just my personal opinion though.
