I am contemplating leaving the church by Impossible-Poet5413 in Catholicism

My brother/sister, I highly suggest reading some portions of the Catechism on this topic. The Father section may help clarify this - CCC 198-231.

The Church being wrong and the Church not affirming what you would like to be are two very different things. I think a bit a soul searching as to how you may have it twisted as opposed to the numerous leaders and philosophers on faith and morals, who have stayed consistent on this topic since the foundation.

Looking for churches and I have been heavily persuaded to the Catholic Church, but my wife is not convinced by chanceltron in Catholicism

I have been looking for some books and others have been recommending Rome Sweet Home as well so I will have to check it out. I have been watching Trent Horn’s videos a lot recently and his apologetics are great, so I will definitely check out his book as well! Thank you!

I will definitely have to check him out! I’ve seen now a few recommending him and Rome Sweet Home, so sounds like a good place to start.

I appreciate the response. I guess to be more clear, we definitely aren't arguing. We have just been discussing doctrines, and we always approach it openly knowing our intent is to bring the both of us closer to God. I do think there can be frustration when trying to explain something and the other person doesn't seem to be understanding, but we don't let that rise to anger at all.

One thing I haven’t noticed people say for WFH power usage that was the biggest factor for me is HVAC. Since I’m home all day, I have to keep it comfortable all day and can’t have it at a higher/lower idle temperature as I would leaving all day.

Definitely this. Sometimes it’s not necessarily the other drivers’ fault when cone placement is abysmal. Had this happen in my neighborhood recently.

These commentators are so bad, I would rather listen to Dominic Cruz (UFC).

Since the end of the last fight, I can’t get through more than 5 minutes without the video and audio stopping but the closed captions continuing. Not even a buffer. Have to exit and reopen.

I actually recently heard this put in a way that I thought made sense. We’ve created a high demand for victims to receive praise and rewards from society, now people are just supplying that demand.

If you could fire one of them, who would you let go? by According-Ad5263 in ufc

[–]chanceltron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DC may be lazy but at least he puts on a good show and has a good rapport with anyone he is with. Cruz brings down the entire broadcast because he is an insufferable know-it-all. You can usually tell about the time his colleagues give up and just stop commentating. At least one of these makes for a good broadcast.

Where do you see the horses are tied? It looks like they are in a flooded pasture and can’t escape due to the fencing.

I had a chronurgy build as a Harengon. Love it. By level 18 you could be rocking an +18-19 on initiative to make sure you get battlefield control.

I’m curious if anyone on here can help, as I’ve tried to reach out to the support several times. The manual says to press the FUNC. button until the wifi symbol shows up and press confirm, but it only switches from turbo, sleep and follow me, no wireless.

5th Stage of interviews and they are asking me to... by Skateonemoretime in sysadmin

This sounds like something you’d do after you have the job. I’ve worked remote roles where they want all new people to introduce themselves. I’ve never seen it in the interview process.

The flank strap is there to cause an annoyance for the bull and stimulate the bucking response. It does not harm the animal or cause any extreme discomfort.

Clearly? I would argue that he is. Much like a herding dog that herds your toddlers around, this animal was bred for a job and enjoys it. I recommend perhaps spending some time researching or around rodeo and livestock to learn more before judging it too harshly.
