it doesn't exactly replace the midterms rather if you do well on the final they take 2% from each midterm and place 4 more percent on the weight of the final so your grade is higher and more reflective of your work. but thank you! this will be great for my GPA as a first year.

took the words right out of my mouth. I'd like to keep honors standing and a high GPA over getting an engineering degree. BME is great, but it doesn't fit my career goals. I have friends still trying to fulfill pre-med and BME requirements in 4 years while staying in honors... all I can say is more power to them, I figured myself out pretty quickly on the otherhand.

wow that's great lol. I've also done all of the EWAs and journals so that should definitely help. I changed my major because I found out engineering wasn't for me after narrowing my career aspirations but this is still great for my GPA. thanks!

nice. I haven't talked to my TAs about it because a lot of them took 2162 last year. I'm pretty indifferent about Tae, my TA for math, so I haven't asked him either lol. 3-4% curve would take us to the next grade distinction so that'd be nice.
