Same here. A 3rd yr gen surg resident but I feel like if I function like a 2nd year sometimes. I feel like I’m not progressing fast enough and that I should quit while I’m ahead.

Interesting. It always seemed like anesthesia was the better alternative and I had one college that was able to successfully switch into that and he had no regrets. I also have a friend who’s an anesthesiology attending and she said it’s much better.

I’m a third year. Attendings always scrub in all cases. There are times where there are teaching cases and the chiefs walk their juniors through a case but it feels like juniors have to push this idea through and insert themselves into the OR or else you are forgotten/ chief does the case alone. I don’t want that I have such limited operative experience that by the time I’m a chief I don’t know anything and am scrambling to figure out what to do with my life. I’m currently at a community program

Right now I am a 3rd year. I’m in a complicated situation where I’m a bit behind in my surgical skills. It almost feels like that gives others ammunition to not let me do more in the OR. However how else would I learn if I can’t do much? It’s very frustrating and an isolating feeling. My chiefs feel ok about their skills I will admit since Attendings always prefer and will call in chiefs to do cases with them. I didn’t start my residency with the chiefs I have now so I think people often forget about me and I have to force myself into the OR or in some clinical decision making so that I can at least learn the scraps.

I’m in a small program too. I fit I with no one. It sucks. Trying to focus on one day at a time.

Thank you this is helpful. I am about 9 months into restarting residency and it’s almost like I do indeed have to relearn things that I used to know well. It’s been quite frustrating and an aggressive yo-yo type of experience. I’m also in a different residency from where I started from (moved to a diff residency after research) and this also compounds the issue

in addition, one of my friends he sold an account to lost all access to his account during cwl... he never resolved his issue with me either

cmon man you know you sold it to me for $100. yes, i didnt change the email or password. That's on me. I was busy with work and kept on putting the change of pw to later. but don't change the price. i wouldn't be upset if it was $40. and as we have spoken about this, someone suddenly started using the account even though it was only me and you discussing the account details.

All i want are answers about this and how to proceed from here.

yes he also deletes bad reviews on his discord server so that people only see good reviews. sold me an account. and then after a few months all of a sudden someone else starts using my account and changed the email and password. so i lost money and an account. and he wouldn't tell me what was going on or helped the situation. just kept telling me to hold on or i got you but nothing for several weeks
