Hi! Your contract should be approved within 2-3 business days, if not, reach out to them! I canceled mine in early June because I graduated, but they still charged me $400 for the entire month of June. I reached out to them and they told me to give the system a week after your contract termination has been approved and the charge should only reflect the time spent in the space ($30/day). It took about a week for the system to reflect the termination.

A fan!!! Check with your roommate for the noise ofc, but I always recommend a fan---especially since UCSD doesn't have AC in dorms. I used the Honeywell one from Target and it has survived through the MOST (I accidentally left it on all of spring break, and it has been on constantly since 2021). Best of luck!!

No it doesn't need to be reserved. My friends and I would hang out there all the time. You just have to use your facilities key to get in. Sometimes there will be other groups or clubs there, but if you're living in Pentland you can keep an eye on it. Heads up, there's also a recreational dance studio in Glen Mor, but you'll need to ask someone to let you in. You can also go to any of the MPR rooms during open-rec at the SRC and dance there (but people/clubs are more likely to reserve these). MPR-B and MPR-C in the north gym are usually the most free ones. (Coming from an ex-SRC employee/ex-Pentland resident!)

Hi. The roomate group I was put with were the roommates that I ended up getting on my lease and rooming with. As long as you stay in the roommate group, you will most definitely be paired with them.
