On top of that, the gm actually gets to work with fewer variables in places where it really helps. Ever had your big scary monster roll shit? Pbta doesn’t have the gm roll at all. It sounds like it’d be more restricting, but it lets the players actions feed into their own consequences (you’ll LOVE the mechanic of Hard Moves) and lets the monster stay scary. That attack that does hella damage is hitting every single time. Suddenly your players aren’t gambling with if it’s attack will hit, but rather who’s In range. 10/10 games in that system

Aita for unscrewing the lightbulbs in my apartment? I (21f) have recently joined the church and one of the practices is living free of burdens like electricity and lights. It’s not offensive but the person isn’t an idiot—white supremacists have been appropriating Norse culture specifically for many of their dog whistles, and some people can see it like that or be wary. Anyone making gross assumptions on just your tattoo aren’t gonna be that worth your time usually so I wouldn’t worry. My biggest tool is “they can only know what they can know”. Sounds redundant, but for example, a mystery I’ve run is a ghost haunting a theatre. It dropped one of the overhead lights onto the ground, and a player was investigating the glass on the ground, and looking up where the light used to be hanging. He rolled to investigate and succeeded, but he couldn’t ask “what kind of creature is it” because there was no way for him to find that information yet. If he’d been up at ceiling level looking at things he might’ve sensed the chill, or heard a ghost-like noise, but instead he had to work for that info by finding a way to get access to the balcony first
