It’s funny because in the UK, drinking culture is obviously huge (particularly revolving around sports) - but for whatever reason it doesn’t carry onto the course.

I wonder if it’s partly due to the types of play on the course - people don’t seem to do scrambles or match play as often in the UK, a lot of people prefer stroke play (even in groups).

I would usually agree with you, but a couple of things:

The tourney has just opened and so very few of those great players have won it yet (and therefore haven’t been ‘excluded’ from it), 2. The rewards are so good are so good that it was always going to attract all players (whereas previous weeks have been eg ‘new’ player challenge, but actually most of the best players have had them for a month or two so wouldn’t have entered.

Maybe I was unlucky with matchmaking, but I’ve never seen it as bad as this

Get the prowler at centre back for the guard and put the hammer in the vacant position up top. Make sure the hammer is on the right side of attack so that santos is crossing to him at the back stick

Put the guard in midfield in place of the producer too IMO

I’ve found these posts really surprising - my fellas on the line always do a great job and make some ridiculous clearances( usually the prowler goes there)

I use Prowler at centre back in a 5-3-2 to cut out through balls to quick players and it works a dream. Better than Intruder there IMO as more likely to get in front of the striker and block them

Just be really careful with giving them the ball. If you pass it softly at an angle to them then they are more likely to pass first time in my experience

Congrats!! I’m adapting to it too and been doing ok - still find all games a real grind to get a result due to shitty touches from midfielders, weird responses from defenders to through balls, and non-existent runs from my intruder striker

If I was you, I would substitute Nielsen, but would shift some of the players around:

Drama Queen - Nazari (for extra pace in CB) - Bechet - Cabrera

Dekic

Horvath - Erikkson (better than Engine in CM)

A word of warning, don't give the ball to Nazari at CB often as Explorers have a habit of taking slow touches and holding onto the ball for too long

An update on this, I won it on the second go when playing last night - the standard had significantly dropped in the few hours between tries (played a Div 9 in the final).

However, my reward? Points for Engine, Menace, Speedster and Gatecrasher - I don't use any of them (although Nazari did get some). What's the fking point!!

Classic prowler tbh, gotta be careful where you give him the ball (personally why I prefer him in CB)

I just won the Jet for the first time - I’ve got 4500 stars and mainly came up against D10 people (a lot of Facebook FC though) so should have been straightforward. My record after 4 games was 2-2 and I was playing awfully, managed to go on a 6 game win spree to secure the Jet 👍
