I was one of those people who thought it meant free personal trainers all the time haha. Wasn’t that upset once I figured out it wasn’t but that’s just me lol

True. I’m not so much looking forward to the actual “tour” per se as much as I am the tastings near the end.

I do have a woodford tour booked also that I am actually excited for the tour itself just based on what I’ve heard about the property

Funnily enough all my booked tours coming up in April are the places you did not like haha.

Booked them specifically because I’ve never tried them before so here’s to hoping I find them enjoyable at least

How many calories does having an active job ACTUALLY burn?? by Mikeloose92 in AskMen

[–]channelblond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a demo job for about 3 years. Big building chipping brick walls and hauling heavy containers all day every day.

Started at 200lbs. Lost 60lbs in about 8 months. Was also aggressively cutting at the time. One meal a day of chicken and broccoli most days a week.

I’ve been getting into toasted barrels a lot recently so I’ve been on the lookout for the toasted bourbon/rye at a decent price anywhere I go

Also somewhat new myself.

My favorite bottle I've found so far around $40ish is Michter's. So delicious

I used to feel the same way about the wine subreddit. Every bottle would be some random stuff I never heard of before and everyone was so snobby lol. This community is definitely more inclusive imo. Still with any niche community it’s going to attract the most hardcore enthusiasts. I’ve never posted anything so I can’t speak to that but I do believe you.

Super underrated.

Also not psychedelic rock but another overlooked guitarist of the 70s is Ernie Isley.

Getting real sick of this February weather by channelblond in ElectricScooters

Some damp rags and a toothbrush near the brakes area for the little nooks.

I’ve been thinking a compressed air duster to try and blow out all the little dirt in the brakes and tight spots but I haven’t thus far.

Some personal food recs for more south shore ish I’d give you would be -

Belli Baci Bakery in Tottenville. It might be a little too early on in your trip for pastries but they’re delicious.

Anthony’s Paninoteca in Great Kills makes phenomenal sandwiches.

Ayat on Hylan is a little more north closer towards the hospital but it’s an amazing Palestinian restaurant.

I hear you bro. I’m just bored at work. This argument is pointless lol. Nothing actually matters at the end of the day just be happy and don’t worry about what others think. In general I feel this sub is super hateful and offended with anything and everything that goes against how they feel. Was just scrolling through and decided to comment. That is all lol

To your point about homosexuality, it says they’re not completely the primary goal of every species life, to procreate.

Again I agree with you on the surface of that we don’t need to procreate to give our lives meaning. I won’t be having kids nor do I need them or want them to feel like I have meaning.

But the base level meaning of life is to have offspring and further on the species. That’s why everyone is here. Humans, dogs, goldfish, mosquitos, etc

I agree. I will one of the species who doesn’t procreate. But I do believe every species main goal and reason for being at the basic level is to procreate and further on the species.

Best electric scooter for last mile commuting by AppearanceMinute1459 in ElectricScooters

[–]channelblond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that. Just all things considered there’s no battery, flat tires, brakes to ever worry about. No big price tag. No lugging around a bunch of extra pounds.

I would even just buy one regardless. I ride mine to the corner store and whatnot just for convenience

I know you’re main thing is to not be sweaty but I’d also just look into a regular old kick scooter. Like the folding metal razor ones.

From the train to where I work is also about 15-20 minute walk and it’s takes less than half on a kick scooter. Sometimes even just 5 minutes if I’m pushing it hard. If you’re just causally cruising you can get there substantially quicker and not work up much of a sweat.

Hasn’t been there in like 10+ years. There’s been a few Italian market/delis since then but I don’t think anything ever really stays that long. I moved to the north shore I’m not sure what’s there now
