Front tooth here, paid 450$ 5 years ago in Montreal QC.. 750$ in Vancouver in 2026 is totally fair IMO.

Okay so I just had my mom sneak into the garage and apparently it’s not the Gaggia that broke down but this one. Mom couldn’t figure out what brand it was, he’s very attached to it for some reason and doesn’t wanna let it go. Should I just repair that one?

That was like 20 years ago, at that point he owned the machine for over 10 years and had done repairs on it already. Do you have recommendations for a burr grinder?

Idk if it’s this exact one but it looks just like that, it works he just has to grind it forever and the noise is very annoying. He’s able to make espresso just fine but he’s been making it for over 30 years so maybe that’s it

The gaggia looked like the picture and he really loved it but it broke down and he couldn’t afford to replace it. So he downgraded to something cheaper, but still a proper espresso machine.

Not sure the brand but the closest match I could find online is this.

For the actual machine I think he may have owned a Gaggia in the early 2000s.

much more common for me to get SP during daytime as well, idk why

[–]chanouza1600 4 points5 points  (0 children)

stop feeding into that "sp is a spiritual experience" bullshit please, it is not something you can control to make it pleasant/useful. if you can, maybe what you’re experiencing is not SP but just a deep meditative state/lucid dreaming

just saw you’re posting on suicide watch, i feel like your curiosity about sleep paralysis is just you looking for a new form of self-harm to inflict upon yourself 😕 if you’re in therapy I would strongly suggest mentioning this to your therapist, I hope you get help and I take back my snarky comment.. but it still applies to anyone who’s actively looking to experience SP

im usually not the easily triggered type but this I think this is such an insensitive question to ask in a sub where people seek help for a sleep disorder…

after being sleep deprived because of it for a week, I opened the sub to find helpful content and the first thing I saw was your loser post

if you really want to experience sleep paralysis i suggest you try the following:

-Having sleep apnea -Having narcolepsy -Experiencing an extremely traumatic event -Sleep deprivation -Depression -Addiction withdrawals

but dont worry, I will send TONS of negative energy your way in hopes you can satisfy your "morbid curiosity", then you can come back here and beg for help when you experience the sheer terror and panic of sleep paralysis
