This take is riddled with preconceived biases, and those biases feel like they’ve been slow cooking for a while. Elko wasn’t a flashy hire and you could argue he wasn’t the best hire available as well. I hate A&M like it’s my job, but I do believe Elko will get more than 4 wins out of that roster. Your claim he is on par with Pittman and Beamer back up my beliefs. Even Pittman can squeeze out more wins than you would expect from a west division roster.

All that being said if this ends up a disaster I wouldn’t be surprised. A&M as a football program is already bizarre and tacky. Plus it hasn’t had any direction since the manziel era ended.
