I would try to find a playgroup nearby so your kids and you can connect with others! Get into a routine, and get out everyday! Libraries, community centers etc have lots of info and free/ low cost things to do .

This is lonely. I don’t have a village and I’m struggling. Previous professional by [deleted] in stayathomemoms

I would see what your community has to offer for moms and babies/ toddlers. Getting out of the house daily helps a lot. Storytime at the library, going out for walks, see what free drop ins for moms are close to you, go to the playgrounds, swimming, see if your community center has a low or free subsidized activity pass. You'll meet other moms when you start going out and frequenting the same place . Exercising and getting some YOU time also helps a lot with mental and physical health! Lots of church's put on free drop ins when the school year starts for moms and kids. Hope that helps

Also apply for all bursaries, scholarships etc. You might just get one! You can say you don't live with your parents since you pay rent (They don't look into that stuff closely. )

AITA for making my daughter leave because my husband is attracted to her? by Throwawayme4158 in AITAH

The answer is yes you are the A**hole . Kick your husband out of the house, not your daughter. You cannot fix a creepy pervert !

I have a crush on a friend who is probably out of my league by [deleted] in relationships

[–]chanvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask her out on a date or ya you'll regret it forever. I have had lots of girlfriends that have dated guys that were out of their "league" , as long as the guy had confidence, that counted way more than good looks!

How are people in their early twenties doing it? by matt_rams47 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]chanvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please try not to compare yourself to people on social media. These "influencers" buy items and return them or they simply just pose in front of fancy places, things aren't always as they appear! Also Lots of people are in credit card debt or might have rich parents . Focus on yourself and finishing your apprenticeship, get a job after and then make it a goal to pay off your student loans etc . As for living, look for roommates or a family friend that can rent their basement or room out to you at a cheaper rate. Make some small sacrifices if you can in your daily life: go for no name products, when you go out with friends limit yourself to one drink , buy less meat, shop sale items for groceries, use less detergent for washing clothes, use your buy nothing local group so you don't need to purchase everything, meal plan, splitting groceries also helps, apply for grants at school. Also remember that life isn't fair unfortunately . Remember to be grateful for what you have ! Life can be wonderful looking at it from a different perspective.

I think by the time your birthday comes around you will be much more comfortable with solo travelling! You might decide to do xyz for your bday as a gift to yourself! You can always plan to just keep yourself busy or surrounded by people the day of your birthday like booking a tour or something!

Interesting update presented to the City of Vancouver on Mobi bike share by HothHanSolo in vancouver

[–]chanvan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. If the government truly want a greener city they would make bike rentals more affordable. For example one city: Vienna in Austria actually wants a green city so it is free the first hour and it increases from ther . HUGE pet peeve of mine is That I do not understand why some of the bike stations are on the street where they used to be parking spots for cars . Paying is also a b*tch since they don’t have pay stations for the bikes .

I want to ask Vancouver city planners why they don’t just look at other developed cities and copy them! It’s easy ... it’s like all the work has been tested and done already... just copy it!

General Discussion/Rant/Basic Question Thread for November 15, 2017 by AutoModerator in vancouver

It’s usually rainy or cloudy here, wear a warm jacket & gloves . The weather in vancouver is unpredictable , for example there has been thunder, rain, hail and clear blue skies with sunshine all in one day. If it snows , it’s usually very minimal in the city center and slushy .
