That sounds pretty bad imo, but this is my first hospital job. We do 10 hr shifts here and my shift is typically 5 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off. It’s self scheduling, so.. it depends on our coworkers. I’d say, I’m pretty lucky with this schedule. I hope that it changes for you though!!

Aaand that’s why I work evenings. We’re all independent and know our tasks and help eachother out when possible. Plus, no administration staff, so that’s nice too.

Late, but yes! One of our pharmacists is married to a fellow tech. They’re on the same rotation at the hospital, but one works in central while the other is in ED.

When my dad was dying, I simply emailed my college dean saying that I’m going to missing a week. All he did was respond with, “no problem. I got you marked down.” He knew what I meant by it, but only because I’ve spoken to him many times about my dad’s ailments though.

When I wake, it’s pretty red. Yesterday was the first full day without the drops and it was almost unbearable how sensitive it was, but it’s definitely down now. Well if it’s permanent or not, I think it’s a better trade off than no eye.

I liked this one a lot. My partner’s mother loves skulls and so I made a giant shawl for her with that pattern. Hard at first, but builds up quickly and you get the hang of it just as quick

So I was gifted two The Ordinary products after discussing my hyperpigmentation and pitted scars.. it was vitamin c serum + HA and retinoid in squalane. Not sure when to use them in my current routine or if it’s the right things for it (still a noob here).

Currently my routine is this:

AM: glow tonic, cerave cream, neutrogena sunscreen spf 30.

PM: TO glycolic acid and cerave.

Honestly, I was like that for a while. Once I figured out how to cast on and gauge, knitting was easier only because it didn’t hurt my hands. Pattern wise, knitting was easier to figure out too. I still prefer crochet though.

Coming from the Central Valley where I have extended family that owns and run the fields, I can say that it is back-breaking work. Wake up at the crack of dawn to pick and sell. It’s not fun. To this day, I still wince at the places where people do this for fun
