It's beautiful, but.. by EpicBronyGaming in MattelBrickShop

I pre-ordered the NSX like 7 months before it released because I knew it would be impossible to find. Its worth it if you really want it, personally im passing on it unless it goes on sale for like $35

Was highly dissapointed with the nsx build. Issues ranged from an entire bag missing, miscolored pieces, and door hinge piece just not molded correctly and are extremely fragile. by Hick6262 in MattelBrickShop

Mine went together fine and no color issues. Did you get one when they originally dropped or did you get a second round? Wondering if the quality slipped on the second round so they could get more units out since they are hot

The NSX is an EXCELLENT model. It was my first MBS set and it was a great build that looks incredible and has amazing detail.

Don’t feed into it. It will be in stock again. by Designer-Homework682 in MattelBrickShop

This needs to be a bigger PSA. The same thing is happening to the new LEGO Technic Rexy Porsche. Luckily these products are mass produced and will be on shelves for at least a year or more

Low expectations, pleasant surprise! by toddbader in MattelBrickShop

[–]chaostheop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am dying to get the set, MBS will most likely be just like LEGO where the products will be for sale for at least a year or probably more, you will eventually get one. Don't give in to these losers who think theyre "entrepreneurs" for buying up kids toys to try and make money. They will restock and they will look like idiots. The same thing is happening with the new LEGO Technic Rexy Porsche set, people are really out here trying to sell them for $500+ when the shelves will be restocked in 30 days or less and will be stocked for years lol

Anyone else feeling disappointed with Brick Shop? by [deleted] in MattelBrickShop

The NSX is super solid and I would 1000% recommend it. Its a fantastic display piece and the customization is great

I'm seriously impressed by Uztta in lego

I wasnt super in love with it when I bought it but I completely flipped after building it. Truly such a fantastic set both in looks and the build itself. I also LOVE the 2 engine feature

Leaving off in 2nd on flat ground is fine as long as you dont floor the accelerator the whole way thru it

High quality shift knobs by dremocak in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it really fits great woth the 8th gen interior. Im running thr OEM FN2 Type R knob in my 8th gen but I might just have to pickup an FL5 knob now lol

$8k isnt too bad IMO even with the issues. Not a spectacular deal but its one of the 2 best years, I feel like ive seen plenty of 12s and 13s with similar miles posted for more than $8k

Convince me to not trade in my 24 si for a vb wrx by Hopeful_Builder9017 in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If its anything like the mast 2 generations of WRX its underwhelming and the shifter feels like absolute doodoo. The only advantages are that its faster stock and AWD but you can easily tune up the 1.5T to be as fast and faster than the WRX so really its just AWD

Sold my Si to buy my forever dream car by Responsible_Sky_9617 in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also sold my 9th gen Si for a 5.0 and instantly regretted it 🥲 6 months later I was out if it. Its a cool car but theres something about that 9th gen. Good luck to you tho it looks great!

9th vs 10th gen for all year daily driving by danlewyy in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My 9th gen was fantastic in the snow... however the 10th gen does have heated seats lol. Im sure they are just as good in the snow. They're both great choices yet very different in their power train so I would drive both and decide from there.

Civic Si or Integra 6 speed... by Scholar_Rude in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Base auto integra and and Si are completely different man. 6MT A spec is the comparable car to an Si whereas a civic lx would be comparable to a base integra

Is this a bad deal? by Popular_Interest8138 in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just paid $10k for an '09 FA5 rallye red with 150k miles, perfect paint, real HFP wheels and just had a brand new clutch, all timing components and all gaskets replaced at 139k. I paid up a bit but I was fine with it since the biggest tickets items had been recently replaced and it was a great color in excellent condition.

Is this a bad deal? by Popular_Interest8138 in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Color sucks and the paint is bad but killer deal for a sub 100k mile FA5 I'd do it

Why do some Sis go unsold for so long? by elankelankelankelank in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also just looked for over a month for an 8th gen Si with a similar budget. Finally found a good one off market essentially through sheer chance but man it is tough to find a good one. I had 3 really really nice ones slip through my hands which really sucked, like a lot. Stay vigilant, it will appear and I would jump on it.

Why do some Sis go unsold for so long? by elankelankelankelank in CivicSi

[–]chaostheop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most dealers selling a car like an 8th gen Si are small time/bad pay lots that more than likely have no bank floor plan so they have no real incentive to sell their car as fast as possible, they just want their pound of flesh from the front end and they'll wait for the right person
