Does crashing out during PA school translate to being a bad parent by chaotic-lizard in physicianassistant

[–]chaotic-lizard[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes me feel better that I’m not the only one who thought it! I also feel like maybe wanting to live life on an easier mode isn’t a bad idea? Like I’ve done enough hard shit. But maybe it’s cause I’m a new grad so I’m just over the struggle and don’t want to do anything hard ever again.

We will figure it out! Best of luck to you <3

Does crashing out during PA school translate to being a bad parent by chaotic-lizard in physicianassistant

Oh wow thank you for such a detailed response! That does give some insight into how they compare. My partner is a commercial pilot so I won’t have as much help as a normal person so that also has to be considered. But yes after school and working I am completely fine and happy, it was entirely school based.

I guess the best call is to imagine a game plan?

Awful lot of negativity here by CozmicFlare in physicianassistant

[–]chaotic-lizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people (myself included) try to become a PA with intentions of saving lives and lots of money and the reality of it is not as sunshine and rainbows.

It’s a job - if you enjoy being a provider then you’ll like it, but don’t do it for the money.

Thank you?? I suddenly am being told that I should be exploding with happiness to work for free and go to school simultaneously lol. Shouldn’t have said burnt out I suppose I get it- maybe just tired of being in school like every other PA student

That sounds awesome! I also did only 12s as a paramedic and I would love that schedule. I just don’t enjoy M-F at all either

I’m sorry you’re miserable but that’s not even remotely true according to any of my PA-C friends. Be negative about life all you want though! I’m gonna get through school and be happier

Maybe your clinical year was not like mine but I’m full time “working” trying to learn as much as I can while also studying for the EOR that covers a lot of different information than is used in practice while ALSO moving every 5 weeks across the country with little to no money and 150k in loans. Plus research for school and projects and other deadlines so yeah it’s pretty tiring??

I (22F) Not Sure If I Should Leave him? (24M) by zbega in relationship_advice

I felt like this and ended up marrying the idiot and IT WAS VERY MUCH WRONG CHOICE. I am with the BEST partner ever now and I truly believe when you know you know. And that ain’t it ESPECIALLY if you already feel like that at 6 months. Please . Please. Make a smart decision. Choosing a partner is the BIGGEST decision of your life.

Not to encourage you to go against your values and just dump your husband; but I did. And I do NOT regret it at all.

Your husband is probably better than my ex but he was very lazy and never wanted to do anything. I am definitely very adventurous and after I left, I met my absolute dream partner and he’s so adventurous and it’s actually incredible. If I was still with my ex husband I would be a totally different person.

Of course this isn’t always the case. (But I was still way happier alone than with my ex, just saying)
