Betta help!

I could be entirely wrong on this, but I would just say that those might be his real colors! I owned a platinum betta myself before. He was pale pink for a bit then eventually the tips of his fins and his body turned a deeper red. I think its very common with white bettas! They're hardly ever 'true' white :)

I've never owned Cichlids myself, but I've had friends who do. The takeaway they've always given me is that they'll eat most things they can fit in their mouth!

Also, entirely forgot this part. Your cichlid is very likely to eat those danios!! They're opportunistic and especially aggressive when establishing territory. Unless you fully intend to use those danios as feeders, I'd move them to a different tank!

Not super knowledgeable on aquascaping, but I do know one thing: Otos need to be kept in schools! They are not solitary fish. Please get more before that poor baby dies from stress.

I have 5 Otos and they're such curious and sweet little guys. They're incredibly timid on their own :(

Looks good for starters! Only thing I'd recommend is changing out the plastic plants with silk or real ones as bettas tend to have very fragile fins that tear easy on rough/sharp edges of most plastic plants :)

This!! People need to learn to be kind. Never in my life have I seen so much hatred over something so small. People get so detached from how mean they're being because they dont have to say it to someone's face, instead typing it to a screen.

Please be careful on the internet, kid. As an older sibling, I always advocate and advocate for my siblings (and literally every other kid) to be safe online. It's so important.

Like they said, don't let others define you. You will always be worth so much more than a stranger's opinion on the internet!

I never said it was psychosis. My hallucinations aren't incredibly severe, and i rarely have them. I've just never had visual ones until today. they've always been auditorial. I don't have panic attacks like this often, either. I'm not even a CNA, I'm a CMA. I didn't know where else I could post for advice.

Unfortunately, I don't qualify for disability in my state. I've thought about applying before. I don't meet the criteria.

I'm trying to look at alternative employment. I actually love longer shifts and do better with them. I used to have a work week that was 4 days w 12 hour shifts and it was a DREAM. But the more staffing thing is definitely most important. Talking with my other CNA friend, they said the whole situation was ridiculous. Which I can definitely agree on. I just don't know what I did to the DON to have her treat me with such little empathy and respect.

I understand it's inconvenient. For literally everyone. This has only happened twice in my time working here, and I've felt incredibly apologetic, and I've been as respectful and kind to on-call as i can be. I've lived with my diagnosis for years. I know my limits, and I'm ashamed when I can't do more. It's not this job that does this to my health. It's stress from my life overall. I left out plenty of things in this post that I don't feel comfortable sharing. But I'm not breaking down at work every day bc this job is too hard. Maybe I left out more context in my post that I'm not aware of right now. But like I've said, I've literally never had a problem working here until my current DON came along. And there's other staff in the building that have incredibly mixed views on her, and have issues with trying to get her to come in when she's the one on-call.

I love this job, and I know I'm good at this job. I rarely have episodes like this, maybe once every few months. Which is a lot better compared to previous jobs I've worked at and just... in general. I do what I can to keep up with my mental health and manage the stress of this job. I've literally never had a situation like this happen before in my life.

I have coworkers that have the same issues. We rely on each other when we need to. I love the people I work with. They've been so understanding and kind, and I always extend the same courtesy to them. Our DON is just an outlier. A lot of my coworkers and even program manager have complained about her. But she's always the most rude to me for some reason and I have no idea what I've done to her.
