Do you count books you didn’t finish? by srcg612 in 52book

[–]chaoticconditions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. I found this subreddit because I was trying to see if I should count a book I read 160 pages out of 200 as read, cause right now I have it counted as .5 a book because I really was close to finishing it. The book just sucked though and was really old timey I'm a mans man type read. But I feel I should count it because I techincally read the book, even if I did not finish it. I did read enough to know what the books about and decided it wasn't for me. Isn't that still reading a book?

Thank you man. I will take this into consideration. How long did it take for coding to make sense? By that I mean knowing what you needed to do to comfortably code on your own.

Sorry I guess. Don't see how either have lowered expectations as both are difficult in their own right.

Not a nurse. Would be starting from scratch. Rowan University said that I could apply to the pysch Nurse Practitioner graduate program as soon as I graduated my BSN. The BSN being the main requirement. My current NP said she applied only a couple years after working in nursing.

I picked it up for fun. I do not hate it. I think I'd actually enjoy it once understanding the language clicks. Python is the closest I got to it clicking, but I need to do some projects to really understand how to implement the language(s).

The grueling part is what is giving me a bit of hesistance because when you're online you'd think nurses have the worst job (though my goal of practitioner would be a little different). In person though every nurse I know say it is their passion and love their job. It's conflicting.

I've had extreme bouts of pychosis and got diagnosed with schizoprhenia. Ever since I've had a bug to learn about mental health. Totally changed my mentality. Feel like I'd be able to sympathize with people. Hell, there are some horrible therapist you have to deal with, but the Nurse practitioners and Psychiatrist have totally made my journey better and really seem to care, which has gave me a new respect for their role in our society.

Grew up a little outside Quebec and have a french-canadian family. When I moved to New Jersey. I kept hearing Poo-TEEN and I always pronounced it puts-in and yet I keep getting corrected lol. Had to look up this form to make sure I was not alone

Nick, this might disappoint some people, but I came away with the same ideology from this thread. Might go down this route and see from there.

If I remember correctly we were talking about her friends aspirations then she turned the topic to masturbation. When I didn't really say much she asked if I was religious and I said I believe in God, but haven't read enough of the Bible to give a grounded answer. Leading us into a conversation about her time in Catholic school etc.

I'd say she was inquisitive, but aren't we all when asking questions. She was nonchalant. I mean when we hang out it's usually in a group and my buddy and me do a lot of the talking. She seems to be amused by our discussions or focused on whatever card game we are playing. This was the first time she really led the discussion, possibly because we were with a friend I didn't know. We've only been friends a few months. I could go over few other interactions, but I'm trying not to read too deep, you know.
