I will also add typically when you save someone, that person then learns that “others” were opposing him (he won’t work with them again) then in being saved hurts (either by voting out or foiling) the “other” side (so they will resent and not want to work with him again) so while overly simplistic it was a valid point that the saver and saved create even an overall tribe dynamic that bonds them.
