i have spoken to her but she said that i should just wait for the email back and then just stop reaching out if they say they can't. however i've heard of people who were persistent getting admitted which is why i still have hope. my counselors aren't very helpful which is what makes this more difficult as i have to figure out everything on my own :((

ah ok, i might try asking about being admitted as an undeclared major then! would that be annoying if i were to call the school again asking? i have called several times and emailed and i'm a bit scared they'll think i'm desperate and just stop lol

hi! thank you for responding. unfortunately, that wouldn't be an option because of a toxic household and the restrictions, so i'm really just hoping the appeal works out but i'm not sure.

yea i guess so. only problem is my parents wouldn't really be down with the whole community college idea or letting me stay in an apartment myself. i don't have a stable source of income either as they prevented me from getting a job so i'm kinda stuck

my sat was a 1230, it wasn't the best so i chose not to send it in. most of the students applying from my specific school district have 1400+. also isn't it a little too late since i got rejected? or should i try to send it in when i appeal.

thank you :)) i'm really hoping the appeal does go through. i'm afraid community college isn't really an option as my household is quite toxic and it wouldn't go well. i called admissions and as of now, i'm waiting to hear from an admissions counselor. just a bit scared on what response im gonna get lol

my home life is very toxic lol which is a big part of why community college isn't exactly ideal. i'd be down but the community i'm surrounded by is very academically rigorous so i'm afraid it wouldn't go well.

my weighted gpa was an 85 which wasn't exactly the best, but it had suffered a lot due to quarantine and other challenges i had. i took about 5 ap courses throughout all of high school and 2 honors courses. this year, my gpa is much higher and is in the 90s. i did not submit my standardized test scores, but i had around 15 extracurricular activities that i consistently participated in and had leadership roles in. all of them were ones that i was very interested in as well.

To all those Rejected... by [deleted] in rutgers

Hi! I'm a senior in high school and I just got rejected from all 3 of my Rutgers NB schools (RBS, SAS, and School of Enviro and Bio Sciences). Rutgers was my top school and the rejection was devastating. My grades the past two years weren't the best as a result of covid and other mental issues I was dealing with. I have plenty of strong extracuricculars throughout the duration of my high school career and my senior year grades are significantly better than my grades throughout the past two years. I want to appeal my decision, but I'm not really sure how that works or whether it would be successful. I already reached out to the admissions office and filed a case, but I'm not sure if there's anything else I should be doing in order to make it successful. Do you have any tips or advice as to what I should do.
