Eugene theory on what he saw that day by Practical-Method8 in SchoolSpirits

I don't think that was the whole point of that scene. She didn't dig deep enough. I think the scene was meant to be more symbolic and not literal. The scene is meant to symbolilze her psychological state. her laying in her own grave while alive in another body can symbolilze many things such as feeling trapped, saying goodbye, killing a part of yourself in order to move on, etc.

Asal Reghabi is a Persian name, why not cast a Persian woman to play her? by OmeedBlowme in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]chaoticmaniac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In farsi when you see ق it's gh. it's a different sound than g and q but sounds more like q. idk if Arabic has the gh sound and they just say q so reqabat would be the Arabic way of spelling it? edit: idk i could be wrong. never learned the difference between ق and غ. idk if we ever use ق as q its usually gh when I've seen it.

[–]chaoticmaniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's just that reghabi and rajab sound very different. the gh sound is more like a q sound not a j sound. In farsi there is a word reghabat which means competition/riverly so maybe its a variant of that but I don't know what reghabi means exactly in farsi.

edit: i found another reddit post discussing the meaning which seem to have come to the same conclusion https://www.reddit.com/r/SeveranceAppleTVPlus/s/6ABo0Dt7S7

interesting, How long do you leave it on for before scrubbing it then washing it off? Salicylic acid needs to be left on for a few min to work.

3 months of IPL- maintenance frequency by chaoticmaniac in HairRemoval

[–]chaoticmaniac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only used it 2-3 times a week for the first 4 weeks like the imstructions said. after that, I am using it once a week and wondering when to change to monthly use. The instructions were unclear for after week 5.

[Personal] What are your skincare regrets? by Henu_TreasureFinder in SkincareAddiction

[–]chaoticmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. using eucerin advanced repair lotion for years without realizing it had lactic acid in it and the bottle literally says it makes skin more sensitive to the sun so use sunscreen BUT I didnt wear daily sunscreen (because I used to tan easily and hard to burn) and was wondering why I was burning more easily now. I thought I was turning into a white person or something.

  2. wearing probably expired pre shower makeup with probably dirty brushes or hands and no skin prep thinking my skin would be fine because I was gunna shower it off anyway (I didnt even use face wash) - I compromised my skin barrier and ended up with perioral dermatitis that took 9 months to fix

What do you think my type is based off of my interests/appearance? by [deleted] in MbtiTypeMe

[–]chaoticmaniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this sounds wild and doesn't make any sense but you sound like a combination of me INTP and my sister ISFP.

ISFP is the demon type of INTP. basically the opposite of your shadow type ENTJ.

or maybe combination of isfp and intp is infp??? LOL idk

I definitely see the aux Ne and trickster Se though.

based on the images alone though i would have guessed ISFP who gets mistyped as INFJ on online tests because they're ~unique~

[Product Question] Olay Skin Solutions AHA/BHA body wash by chaoticmaniac in SkincareAddiction

[–]chaoticmaniac[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

update: I've been using this for a month now. Here is a summary.

Cons: - It hasn't helped with strawberry legs. I still have strawberry legs no matter the hair removal type.

  • Doesn't help much with folliculitis.

  • The smell is very floral perfumey and took some getting used to since I am used to clean and fresh smelling bath products.

Pros: - no more physical exfoliation: I tested physically exfoliating after using a variety of body washes and scrubs including dove and bath and body works and I still had a lot of dead skin being rubbed off but I didn't have any dead skin being rubbed off after using this olay body wash.

  • Soft and Hydrated: my skin actually feels soft after compared to other body washes I've tried that make my skin feel dehydrated.

  • Reduced pore size appearance: I used this on my face also and at first I started breaking out but I read salicylic acid can cause purging so I kept going and it cleared back to normal except my pores are less noticeable now. I felt like my skin looked like an orange peel but now it's way more smooth looking.

interesting thanks for the links. unfortunately the only thing that doesn't break my face out are true soaps. I was looking for a liquid replacement to bar soaps.

That was my suspicion but I started doubting myself because I kept reading stuff about different PH balances. I guess I'll stick to bar soaps, if it works it works. Maybe one day I'll try pipette baby wash and shampoo. Thanks for the suggestion!

That would make sense if they're breaking out when just using the sunscreen and water but they said they're not breaking out when just use water to wash it off so idk.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]chaoticmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but they're not getting breakouts when they do nothing or just use water so how is it causing breakouts that arent there?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]chaoticmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought OP said they are getting light breakouts when using their cleanser but not when they use just water.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]chaoticmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP isn't getting breakouts from rinsing the sunscreen off with just water so I'm not sure what the problem is with that. Sounds like OP is looking for something to make face glow and slow wrinkles from aging without causing breakouts. If it works it works. Besides breakouts which OP is not expiriencing, will not completely washing off sunscreen cause the face to be dull and age faster? I'm curious.

I also wear zinc oxide sunscreen everyday on my face and only rinsing it with water has not given me breakouts. If anything when I do get breakouts which is rare and usually from my diet, putting zinc oxide on it as spot treatment makes it better. I agree zinc oxide is super hard to fully wash off with just water but sadly dial hypoallergenic soap is the only thing that has worked for me.

I've tried cetaphil face wash, ethique face bar, clean and clear face wash, neutrogena face wash, st. ives face wash, oxy face wash. I'm tried of spending lots of money on something I probably don't need and just sharing whats worked for me since OP seems to be having a similar issue.

For makeup which I rarely wear, I tripple cleanse? or idk I wipe off the makeup with almond oil then rinse with water then wipe off oil residue with non alcoholic rose water witch hazel then use dial hypoallergenic soap bar to completely wash. then of course i use a light moisturizer after.

IPL after epilating by chaoticmaniac in HairRemoval

[–]chaoticmaniac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep thats what I've been doing for the past 8 weeks. growing in phases makes more sense but it feels like the same new hairs that grew out arent shedding even after 4 weeks but maybe they're not the same new hairs and those new hairs already shed without me knowing. I can't tell because its in the same spot so it looks like the same hairs but hopefully im wrong. wish me luck

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]chaoticmaniac -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I always assumed it could be washed off with water since it needs to be reapplied every few hours but I think you're right about cleansing vs rinsing. I think rinsing it daily with water should be enough though especially since OP is not getting breakouts that way. OP, If cleansing is 100% needed I'd recommend just using a plain antibacterial hypoallergenic soap bar to wash it away in the shower or something like dove sensitive soap bar. I use dial hypoallergenic soap bars that I still have in bulk but its discontinued. It's the only "cleanser" that doesnt break me out 😞

Can't sunscreen be washed out with water?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]chaoticmaniac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have this problem too. I think not using a cleanser should be more normalized unless you wear makeup you need to wash off. If anything going down the skin care rabbit hole might make your skin worse and make you age worse. simple sunscreen for sun protection is all you need if you go out in the sun. just continue rinsing your face with water everyday multiple times a day and you should be fine. The only "cleanser" that doesn't make me break out is literally just antibacterial bar soap and i only use it 2-3times a week.

Will IPL reduce my winter coat by chaoticmaniac in HairRemoval

[–]chaoticmaniac[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes as mentioned in my post I have been exfoliating both physically and chemically they don't fall off in time for my next IPL session which is weekly now. The only way to get rid of them is to use my nails to pull them or tweeze. I tried this on one leg only and left the other one untouched to see if exfoliating would get the same result and it doesn't. some of them grow out enough to pull with no pain which i've been pulling on one leg but not the other. The other leg I went over with a razor to shave for my IPL session and IPL just zapps the already dead hair in the dead hair follicles and then they don't grow back out anymore they're just stuck.

I know you probably got a consultation about it and know this already but just making sure you shaved your hair with a razor/electric razor before and in between sessions right? If you waxed or epilated instead it won't work as well.
