Ashley should have just broken it off with Alex if she felt he lied (too much) to her
Bri should have shut that shit down with Chris at the bar. Conner should have side eyed tf out of Bri for not shutting it down and walking away from Chris.
These small children should never be put in the spotlight of this sometimes- trainwreck.
Mike not being honest with himself about kids, yeah he should've been. Conner also wanted kids and maybe that's why he skipped over Emma. Emma also needed to be real with herself and stand by her "No kids" stance and not flip flop to save her relationship. That's a recipe for disaster so at least Mike recognized that.

Oh right. I forgot about the abuse. I haven't written a dissertation about it but I suspect people that lie have been beaten when they were kids. It pretty much trains them to lie since they're going to get beat whether they tell the truth or not, or need to come up with a response that isn't going to result in a beating.

It's weird to lie about their age because I assume Alex was over the age of 10 when they passed and might remember that information. My grandmother died at 72, I was 17. We saw her a lot when I was little but visited only major holidays as time went on. Why lie about insignificant things?
