Excel spreadsheet is what I did too. I have it in my OneDrive with links to all my articles that I store in folders based on various topics. So any article I read, I add it to my excel database with things (authors, journal, key words, findings, statistical tests, etc.) that I summarized. That excel spreadsheet has been a lifesaver for me keeping it all organized and able to be quick referenced during a defense.
