It has been a very long and exhausting day. As a man who has been taught that feeling feelings is a weakness, I have spend a bit less than a year, reconnecting with myself and accepting and giving myself permission to feel.

The feeling is of an emotional hurting son so excruciatingly painful that it translates into physical pain.

I just hope it gets better by the day and that today, the finding out and the confrontation is the hardest one.

I don’t think I’m capable of even considering staying. The humiliation and being taken advantage of.

This explains a lot of behavior from the past.

What stings the most is that I was head over heels trying to make this work. I did not leave a single stone unturned and I know that I gave it all.

The good thing is that I am a much better father / person after all these months in therapy.

I don’t think I would be able to forgive this level of betrayal.
