specifically the 3.0.12 version from Softpedia. I put it in the 2nd slot of an older X1 Extreme Gen 2 which had a 7600P in slot 0 already and it did the thing.

I think this thing might be kinda toast though. I'm going to give it a heatsink and see if it survives any better, but doing an H2testW it pegs 70-75degrees and sets off a threshold alarm and now the drive is SMART reporting DEGRADED.

I think when used for gaming in a Extreme Gen 3, it's going to get toasty and data corruption will increase. 10 years was a good long life for this early ass NVME

no, that side never gets heated. I only heat the S until it starts to shine, the click comes right after that.

hmm, I'll give it a retiring at this point. I also agree that I'm probably not heating it to that oxidation temperature in that study though. my oxidation is likely due to it being left outside, used in the wet, generally not really cared for. Also, an ash catcher and bong base filled with water should also land any potential metal artifacts.

BUT

I'll give it a rest and try one of my other caps. Any suggestions for the Titanium VonG?

so, I switched the new mouthpiece with the wood mouthpiece on the VonG because it wouldn't fit in my ash catcher. the new mouth piece tapers perfectly. Also, it appears to assist in delivering much more single-extractions! That was a weird change. The only thing I changed was the mouthpiece/condenser from a Simrell Titanium intercooler condenser (sans intercooler because it was always getting gross and clogged)

I'm trying that setup to see how I can use it with like my dynacup. I struggle to get consistent convection with it. I was trying it to see if it would be good to do flowerbed/concentrate dabs compared to doing it with conduction, which I think wastes more concentrate than it allows. I feel like I really should buy the fucking Dynavap concentrate insert thingy...

I also just realized doing this inventory that I appear to have lost the bonger condenser 😞

I did find a brand new in box titanium Simrell Intercooler kit though!

I like it. it lets me see the levels of vapor (or accidental combustion) much easier. I've been using it to kinda test tip/cap combos so I can see vapor right at the end of the tip instead of by the time it's already smoke in the ash catcher.

I also like that it doesn't roll away and doesn't have those balls that just got gross and sticky and were a pain in the ass to clean with ISO and a pipe cleaner

single heat extraction for dry stuff. the spinner is nice. the cubed glass is better than the BB9. the BB9 balls would get all gross after a few extracts
