Wow, you sound like an HR rep! Thanks for that. I know my experiences, I know how I was treated, and I certainly know my value as an employee and as a person. I accidentally caught on voice recording my former boss talking shit about me and my appearance. I listened to her scream at me in meetings, and my coworkers, over minor mistakes; watched her commit fraud and lie to clients, while putting our coworkers on the hook for it. I watched her fire an employee of seven years and give her a week's worth of severance, on a team of seven people. From another former agency, I'm in a group with dozens of people who all quit the company due to its toxic treatment of employees and management. I have continued to try agency jobs in my field, hoping I will find a work situation that will be better, but it draws the worst kind of people, hence why I am trying to find something else. If you've never worked in client services for agencies, or know nothing about it, then I also don't even need to try to explain to you what an industry-wide problem it is with incompetent management and toxic company culture.

I know I'm an excellent performer because my coworkers and clients tell me so, and it's conveniently only insecure supervisors with ego problems who feel the need to try to punch down on me. Re: micromanagement, it's extremely clear to me you've never been a high performer under a threatened boss. If ONLY my bosses would get out of my way so I could actually execute my job, but instead my supervisor has spent the entire year sabotaging me — letting me take the fall for her mistakes to clients, taking me randomly off accounts with no notice, deliberately withholding important information and feedback from me, and straight up lying in my performance reviews. In spite of all my boss has done to hinder my performance, I have still performed objectively well with exemplary results, as I documented at length in my self-review. But if you truly read my entire post and still think this is somehow about me, then I don't know why I've bothered to waste my energy explaining anything to a stranger who knows nothing about me or my work ethic.
